Also, I'm pretty sure the NHL and NBA average more fans than MLS |
NHL and NBA have more teams, more games, and a higher total attendance, but MLS has a higher average attendance. |
@cercoe:
MLS averages about 1000 more than NBA and NHL.
that is inflated though because only two arenas in the NHL have over 20,000 capacity (Bell Centre and Joe Louis) while MLS has a good chunk of them at 20,000+. |

@cheesey
explains why average 18000 fans care enough to go. |
@zammy
A few clubs still have non-soccer specific stadiums, so that's why there are some stadiums with high capacities (especially Century Link).
You also have to remember though that the NHL/NBA have 11 more teams. |

Forget about the last part about my statement. |

this is stupid
football stadiums are built to fit 70k+ and theres 1 game a week in any given city
baseball stadiums are built to fit around 40k on average and there are 5-6 games a week |

do u have any stats on annual attendance
i think MLB would lead hands down |
If by annual attendance you mean total attendance, then yes.
MLB: 74,026,895
NFL: 17,304,343
Main factor is that the MLB has 2,172 more games than the NFL. |
yeah it does fire
MLB has 74,026,895 total, which is almost 52 million more than the second place NPB (Japan's top baseball league of course). |
