It'd be cool if Roblox added the option of using a PIN with your account, so that if your account does get stolen there's very little chance someone could actually ruin you.
This is how it would work:
-You have to enable a PIN through account options. Through this, you have to type in a number code that you would use, then save it.
-Every time you try to buy, sell, or trade an item, a numberpad GUI would come up. You have to type in that same number code through the GUI, or you wouldn't be able to use any of your robux for a purchase.
-The PIN cannot be changed unless you contact customer service, and to disable the PIN you need to know your number combination.
These are the benefits:
-The PIN is almost impossible to be KLd through normal means because everything except for the initial setup is done through a clickable GUI instead of your keyboard.
-This makes it very hard for someone who steals your account to do anything with it.
-It's completely optional. You can choose not to use a PIN during a sale, and then put it back on after the sale is over. You can choose to not use one in general on alt accounts, but choose to use it on your main.
These are some negatives:
-It would take longer to buy items, and limiteds especially.
-If you forget your pin, you're going to be locked out of your funds for quite a while until Customer Service helps you out.
-This is going to put even more stress on Customer Service, because they have to weed out people who have stolen accounts.
Some solutions to the negatives:
-A customization screen. You can choose for the PIN not to come up while you buy a limited item, but make it come up when you buy any other normal item.
-Hire/train more customer service reps, or tie a PIN to a customer's E-Mail/have a hardware-based PIN like World Of Warcraft and The Old Republic uses.
What do you guys think? This would weed out a lot of account stealing and theft. |

One mistake:
The initial setup means when you set up your PIN. That could get your keylogger against you.

There are only 9 digits.
It wouldn't be hard for a account hacker to get in with only 9 numbers and combos of 4 because they can do the same thing as a dictionary attack, just with numbers. |

Yeah, but there is literally no other way to set it up. I guess you could use the game GUI for the initial setup, though.
Unless you're talking about if a KL gets into your account and sets one up. Then I don't really have an answer other than you should set up a PIN and then check the option to not use it, so the KL couldn't use it against you.

Just like with pins on other sites, if you don't get the KL right after a set amount of chances, you get locked out from it for a period of time. You can't dictionary attack PINs, because that's how they work. I guess I should have outlined this, but I figured that everyone would have already figured that out. |

Yeah, that's what a lot of websites do nowadays. I'd support that, but I'm sure Roblox has their reasons.

If they hack your account they will try to sell or buy something then they find out ROBLOX made this PIN system and hackers will come up a way to hack the PIN GUI and make it go away. There is no way to stop hackers they will find a way. You can get computer security so your computer doesn't get a virus but other than that ROBLOX can do nothing about the hackers as hackers can hack through anything that's why they are called hackers! LOL I wrote a lot:P But it makes sense! I shouldn't have not said that! :D |

Dude, nothing can stop hackers, they can use their powers to crack codes too. They can even change bans. The only way to stop them is to call the FBI to shut down any hacking systems. |

I tried hacking once. It made my computer faster, not my client. These hackers are professionals when it comes to figuring things out. |
