Your name does seem familiar, yes. Though I do often have very poor memory for things x'). I saw this little forum pop up and decided to make my mark on it.
With check points around, you'll be able to add more challenges and variety to the tower than what it currently has. (Well it'll at least be fair about it)
You could use the pads to push players off the tower's edge, so they'd have to jump over it, or (if I remember correctly) could put timers on them or even have timers on those flame/spike pads.
