$1.4 billion eight-panel retractable roof that resembles a pinwheel, and a glass wall that opens with the roof, to allow in fresh air, largest high definition video board in the world rotating 360 around the upper deck, mechanized soccer "downsizing technology" that reduces capacity to 29,000 (or at least claims to), retracting lower bowl seats to widen the field for soccer could potentially be the best/most advanced stadium in the world

I mean if you're making such a big stadium for a league that doesn't have that much attendance at the moment, what's the point? Is Atlanta supposed to have some huge fan base? Or is it going to be a V.2 of Chivas USA?

They've sold 15,000 season tickets and they still have 2 years before they even step on the field http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/pro-sports/atlantas-mls-team-could-shatter-records/ng8Qh/ At the rate they're going, they are going to have a larger STH base than Seattle

Ah wow, that's actually very interesting. I have to give credit to them Atlanta fans, dang! I mean with a fan-base like that and that means this league is going to start growing rapidly, the U.S is getting very far in soccer and upgrading there league really well which is surprising, and yeah I am a Sounders fan but i'm not like most of them that go crazy about how good we are because we're not as good as they think we are lol.

Maybe one day we'll stop playing on turf

There's truth to that though. Turf is so bad for your legs it's awful. I mean look at Thierry Henry, i mean that would suck. Secondly, if we can clean up fields to grass it'd be very nice but we also have stadiums like Centurylink that share with the Seahawks that ruin the grass and such, that's another reason. If it was exactly like the Premier League that'd be fantastic.

So you're saying that the Atlanta Falcons are going to be using this stadium also? Dang, I really thought the MLS could start getting into there own stadiums which would be awesome if each city could afford it.
