The season is progressing quite nicely, as we are just about to reach the halfway mark in the next couple of days. From there, we have about a month left of the regular season, and then it's time for the final 8-team playoff for the time being. Attached are some dates and possible ranges of where events will or might be. These dates can change at any time. Jan 23 (10:00et) - Franchise tournament sign-ups begin (more on this in a little bit) Feb 13 (06:00et) - Season 14 trade deadline Feb 13 (10:00et) - Season 15 draft sign-ups begin Feb 25 - Final day of S14 regular season Feb 26 - Tiebreaker day / no games Feb 27 - Postseason begins Mar 06* - Semi finals begin Mar 16* - RHLCS begins Mar 26 (6:00et)* - Franchise tournament sign-ups close Mar 27* - End of season awards Mar 27* - Roster clean-out, all players listed as F/A for re-alignment Mar 28* - Franchise tournament begins Mar 31* - Franchise tournament ends, owners awarded teams based on placement Apr 03* - Season 15 draft sign-ups close Apr 10* - Season 15 draft, day #1 Apr 11* - Season 15 draft, day #2 (if needed) Apr 17* - Regular season opener * projected date, nothing guaranteed More updates to come on the schedules. The reason most of these could change is because of the recent changes to the playoff schedule format that took place last season. I have been making schedules at random, as long as teams do not play three games in three days. Date ranges for each round could fluctuate based on the results of the previous round (if there wasn't a series that reached game 6, for example, dates for the next round will be significantly earlier). We won't have a full understanding of what it will look like until after the regular season ends, or when all playoff-implication games are finished up. I do believe that April 17th (or 16th if people really enjoyed the 1-game Thursday night opener from this past season) will be the opening. I'd like to have a preseason, but I'm shooting for the playoffs to fall right into the start of June, when my classes all end. That way we can have basically a full summer season for Season 16. If each series takes 7 games, then the playoffs will most likely stretch until the very end, right before the date in which the awards are supposed to happen. Just a note, the awards will happen on the first Friday or Saturday after the last RHLCS game. If the last RHLCS game happens on a Fri/Sat, it will happen on that night (unless it's seriously late). Right now, the events above are listed in case this happens. If each series were to go 7 games up to the RHLCS, it would likely start on that date. If all the series in a round finish early, there could be a one-, two-, maybe three-day difference or so for each round. "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die."

Also, just an announcement: if the series are to finish quicker, making the playoffs shorter, the date of the draft and season start date will not change. It will just mean a longer offseason. This makes it so I can plan the playoffs now and the regular season schedule can begin the process. "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die."
