because chinese and other groups of people around there do not use the same alphabet
and besides a huge majority of everyone that plays roblox speaks english, i see maybe 1 out of every 30k people that speaks any other language |

Just because Spanish and English share similar characters, that doesn't mean Spanish-speakers can navigate through an English website.
We still need accents and special characters to the chat system. |

still, the amount of non-english speakers that play roblox is so tiny that we don't need a translator or anything.
besides people use skype to talk to eachother in-game anyways lol |

how bout an option to choose which language you speak, and all text will be translated only on your screen to that language

I doubt most would use the accents even if they were given the option. Chat is pretty grammarless to begin with, and Spanish and most other languages with accent marks are pretty readable even without them. |

It's still nice to have grammar. Certain Spanish words have the same spelling but only differ by the accent marks, but they are different words. |

Ok first of all, literally the first thing I addressed in this post was "Roblox should add more languages than English and German TO THE WEBSITE."
This means have OPTIONS on WHAT LANGUAGE you WANT to SEE. We don't NEED a TRANSLATOR because YOU HAVE OPTIONS TO SEE WHICH LANGUAGE YOU CHOOOOOOSE. |

im not gonna lie i would probley say "learn english or get outa this murican game!" but the thing is, its hard to learn new languages and all the writing not just how they sound.

Here's my idea.
How about instead of having them all mixed together why don't they get their own server?
I'm not racist i'm just tired of hearing Spanish in every server i'm in. Its annoying.

I agree that offering the site in other languages would be very useful. I'm not sure if adding accent marks and special characters is entirely necessary for in-game chat, though.
As others have said, the chat tends to be grammarless, and most people seem to get by fine without accent marks and special characters. The two most common languages in-game seem to be English and Portuguese, from my experience.
Ah yes, menu chat. That was fun. I miss that a lot. I'd love to see it brought back some day, but I doubt it will happen.
TL;DR
It would be a good idea for ROBLOX to offer the website in other languages, but I don't think it's necessary for in-game chat. |
