Original Thread: http://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=182198558 How many times does an angel fall? How many people lie instead of talking tall? He trod on sacred ground, he cried loud into the crowd... "I'm a blackstar, I'm a blackstar..." --- What's your name?: Casey Striker What's your age?: 22 Look into the puddle, what does the person staring back at you look like?: A young man of English descent with pale white skin. One who bears thick hair that is styled upwards, almost in a kind of puffy style. My penetrating blue eyes stare into the puddle as I get a grip of myself, and where I am. My tall, muscled body has obviously seen better days then this. My clothes are dirty, and the color has faded away from them. My clothes were a white tank top, a pair of black basketball shorts, and some black running shoes. I cannot comprehend myself. But I do know two striking facial feature I hold - my defined cheekbones are like a work of art. My chiseled nose is also a handsome feature of mine. Do you know what city and country you're in right now?: The outskirts of Boston, USA. What are you carrying on your person right now?: My trusty baseball bat, an MRE, a water bottle, and a map of the area. Can you remember anything about your past before the Eternal Winter?: I was your simple farm boy in a small town in Pennsylvania. I knew that I wanted to leave that old town to become a star baseball player, so I left the town after high school and came to Massachusetts. I was enrolled in college and played on the baseball time, third baseman. The team loved me...but unfortunately I cannot find any traces of their fate. --- You rise from the puddle, having observed your reflection. While you could've stayed longer, there was a horrid noise which prompted you to leave... All around, buildings have collapsed, drowned now by the never-melting snow. Although you do have your map of the area, it's fairly useless. The map was made before the Eternal Winter, and things have changed so much now. The horrid noise rings out again. It's a loud but low growl, coming from some distance behind you. You're not too sure how far away the growl is, but you know you want to get as far away from it as possible. You're on the outskirts of Boston. You can see, just ahead of you, the start of the highway that'll take you into Boston proper. You can barely spot smoke coming from there.

"Oh, crap." I say, listening to the sounds of the growl. What does this thing want with me? I left my old life behind in Pennsylvania so I could come here for the better. God knows what has happened to my old town. I sprint as fast as I can to the highway. Boston is a huge city, meaning that there will be plenty of things to explore. But alas, that means twice as many things that can kill me in a blink of the eye.

You curse, to no one in particular. When you do, you can see your breath. You realize you're cold. You sprint off to the highway, getting there in record time. There's a drumcan with a fire lit in it, the source of the smoke. There's another puddle around the can created by the heat of the flame melting the snow around it. The highway starts here. You look out at the highway and see several abandoned cars. By now, their internal parts have probably all frozen to the point of their use being impossible. Just to the left of the highway is a clothing store of some sort. The light's inside are broken, and the sun's rays don't make it through the windows. Mainly because the sun is gone. You remember when the Eternal Winter first started, it was impossible to see. But your eyes have adapted. If they hadn't, then you'd be dead. You hear the growl again, and you're almost certain it's closer now.

If I enter that sketchy, abandoned clothing store that is next to the highway, I have a feeling that I'll reach a dead end. I cannot risk my life this early on, because I need to discover what happened to my fellow teammates. I make a quick sprint to the highway, and climb onto one of the cars. I leap from one car to the other, and to the next one, and the next one. I will evade this beast, I don't know what it looks like and I don't know if my bat can do any good.

You climb on top of one of the cars, and then start jumping from car-to-car. This actually slows you down considerably and you're not sure why you chose to do this in the first place. It's a bit fun though, actually. You've never been able to do this before, since these cars actually belonged to people. The thrill of it makes you briefly forget about the cold. It's still there though, ever-present. The fun of jumping on cars fades when you hear the growl again. It's so close now. You're not sure if you'll be able to make it to the end of the highway.

Screw it, what was I thinking when I decided to use these cars as stepping stones? I leap off the car and make a final dash so I can reach the end of this death run quicker. When I hear the growl and figure out the proximity of this beast, I feel an even bigger rush of adrenaline slap me in the face. I can't die here, what if my family and friends are still alive? They will live the rest of their days out wondering whatever happened to me, while my corpse becomes another decoration for the frosted streets of what was once Boston. The adrenaline rush energizes me and I enjoy this feeling.

You stop jumping on cars and begin to sprint towards the end of the highway. Your adrenaline fuels you, pushing you past your limits. You reach the end of the highway, safe from the beast... Then you fall over. Now that you think about it, you're not sure how you made it through the week. You look down at yourself and learn of your fatal mistake. You're wearing a tanktop and shorts. In the winter. You should've stopped at that clothing store, or perhaps just warmed up for awhile by that fire. Or maybe, you could've hidden in one of those cars away from the beast. You might've found some clothes in there too. But no. On you marched towards your swift death. You didn't get very far, did you? Now, you'll never know what happened to your friends and family. The Eternal Winter takes you away, and your spirit leaves your body as it turns into a frozen carcass.
