According to an unidentified source, the Yankees have signed seven-time all-star left fielder Matt Holliday. Holliday batted .246 with 20 homers and 62 RBIs in 2016. The move makes sense, because the Yankees need veteran leadership to balance out their young star-studded core headed by Gary Sanchez. Holliday will likely take over from Brian McCann and Alex Rodriguez as the team's designated hitter. Holliday is 37. The deal is for one year at $13 million. |
