how can a team led by the poorest excuse of a defenseman (*cough* karlsson *cough*) be considered good though?
sens are riding a lucky run. theyll be back to their mediocore selves soon enough |
|
|
How r ppl still on the "KARLSSON SUCKS AT DEFENSE" nonsense
> League leader in shot blocks
> He's killing penalties (he does that now!)
> He's still pinching, except its when its actually good opportunities to pinch.. not just "here have a 2-on-1!"
He's actually playing D. He bought in.
And this "lucky run" has actually been an unlucky run.
'Cause they get so many empty netters that they miss, or unbelievable saves, or blahblahblah.
And yet they still win because they give nothing up. That's a coach that knows what he's doing and a team that's bought in.
Which is new, yes, because usually they don't have coaches that know what they're doing o3o

>2016, almost 2017
>still insisting that karlsson wouldn't be better off as a winger |

Bobby Orr would be better off as a winger

In the modern game, yes he would. For his time though that could be debated. |

No, Bobby Orr was a two-way player, at the time he was the best in the world offensively and defensively.
Watch his highlights if you don't know what I'm talking about. |
|
|
Well Boucher does think of Karlsson as a center on the powerplays.. and he likes it.
So. Eh.
But Karl is still a better D than most of the guys in the league o3o

Technically, that wasn't even THIS Sens.
But the team this year is way different from last year, the year before that, blahblahblah.
They actually defend and win games 1 - 0 or 2 - 1 o_o

yeah bung, these senators have experienced no success in their history so keep that in mind next time. |
|
|
Yeah man don't insult us with saying we've had success!! WRONG!

the current incarnation of the senators has only had two successful seasons (2002-03 and 2006-07)
prove me wrong |
|
|
So the Sens got rekt, but Karl had a MAJOR showing on defense.
Saved two for sure goals that the goalie had no chance on.
He's been like that this entire season. He's good defensively under good coaches.

His -2 rating last night agrees with your thesis. |
|
|
Because Andy sucked. There's no denying that.
But there were two sure goals that stayed out because of a strong defensive play by Karl
Then he got like five points or something.
Andy sucked but Karl was carrying o3o |

i must say, the senators really have great attendance num-wait...*81.5% of capacity crowds*

You want to talk about attendance?
Its the lowest its been since the Corell Center back in the 1990s.
Like, usually, they'll get 18k a game. This season they're lucky to get 14k.
Idk why 'cause Boucher has really made them into a strong team
But ig ppl have lost hope :(
Can't blame me I got my season seats!

The problem with every NHL team that isn't the Bruins is that they don't have the best player in the league (Patrice Bergeron) |
|
|
Bergeron is no Mark Stone tho. ###### leads the league in takeaways by nearly double opopop If you're seeing this post, it means I'm either dead (leaving behind a very fabulous looking corpse) or my soul has been captured by pixies! |
