barring cases where blatantly obvious extreme views are shown (like how paolo di canio used to do hitlersalutes as goal celebrations) there's literally no mentally stable person who hates an athlete, let alone an entire team, because of their political views. athletes should be loved or hated because of what they do as athletes, not armchair politicians. i can name at least three hockey players who i politically disagree with to some extent and i still <3 them for their roles as hockey players.
