These are some tips and rules for coaching.
Rules
~give at least a one day notice for practices and tryouts.
~if you can't make it try to post it 30 minutes before the class was suppose to start
~don't give free rank ups
~you can only rank up people one level at a time
~to rank up ygheh must be able to perform the requirements for their current level
~be active
~wear proper leotards
Practices
~lvls 1-2 practice together
~lvls 3-4 pratice together
~lvls 5 practice alone
~lvls 6 practice alone
~lvls 7-10 (elite) practice together
~do warmup, bars, floor, break, vault, beam, free time, cool down, game if have time.
In this order!!
~work on skills for that level
~must last at least 45 minutes and and hour and half tops
~may experiment a little
Tryouts
Lvls 1-2 are the levels they can get into when they first tryout
To be placed in a level they must people able to perform their levels Requirements
For new tryouts they must be able to do basic things for lvl one and all lvl one things for lvl two
To tryout to level one
~have them do three floor passes
~walk across the beam then one flip dismount
~jump on vault and off
~jump on bars and do giants
Tryout to level two
~all level one tryout stuff +
~two flips on beam
~mouselock turn
~trick off the bar along with giants
Host tryouts for specific a level(s)
Competition Team Tryouts
~students must be level 10 for 2 months before can tryout
~room for 15 students and 2 alternates
~whole new team every year old members can go back to being an elite
~Must create routines for all events and go above and beyond Requirements and expectations for elites
~I must be at tryouts
Mini Comps
~at least every other month we will host mini comps for all levels (grouped as practices)
~must have routines and music for them
~routines must meet their previous levels Requirements and have some from their current level.
~co coaches act as judges
~since this is only for our studio they can wear any leo or athletic wear
Game nights
~have fun!
~play many games
~just hangout
