This weeks matchups:
Turks @ Sunbirds
Greats @ Rams
Raiders @ Spartans
Warriors @ Destroyers
Bruisers @ Ducks
Punishers @ Huskies
Raptors @ Jackrabbits
Panthers @ Dragons
FFC @ Rattlers
Snowhawks @ Bolts
-------------
Turks @ Sunbirds - [Turks 34 | Sunbirds 28]
This game will most definitely be close, and it will almost certainly come down to who can capitalize on mistakes. I think the Turks have the edge in this match up despite popular opinion, my spider senses are tingling. I don't fully understand the whole hunter m4 qb situation that the Sunbirds have going, but I do know the Turks are out for blood.
------------
Greats @ Rams - [Rams 28 | Greats 21]
This game is something of an oddity, since both offenses have the capability to score a lot of points, but I think very little points will end up being scored. This game will come down to a make or break play, and Mailard is very good in the >regular< season. For this reasoning, I back the Rams on a game winning drive.
------------
Raiders @ Spartans - [Raiders 28 | Spartans 27]
The Spartans are looking to rebound from a blowout loss to the Firecats that many people didn't see coming. While some people did expect them to lose, I don't think many expected them to lose in such spectacular fashion. Tekt has been recruiting on the wall and in the shout, so expect to see a rebound game from the Spartans. On the other side of the ball, the Raiders have been struggling without Ejected but they'll certainly put up a fight and if I had to pick one game that could go either way this week, it would be this one.
------------
Warriors @ Destroyers [Warriors 21 | Destroyers 14]
I'll be frank I don't know much about these teams aside from checking their rosters, so bear with me. It seems Veer, the new warriors head coach (and former newark head coach?) and wafflepancake (the former joston head coach?) have formed a team and are banding together to begin their push for the playoffs. Meanwhile new headcoach 21hezlep (formerly not of this team?) is also a new head coach that just put together a team. Honestly no clue about how this one will turn out, but both coaches will have something to prove out there.
------------
Bruisers @ Ducks [Bruisers 34 | Ducks 31]
Megajohn has done a great job getting the Bruisers this far, but now its time for their first big test. Prowling and the Ducks are riding high after beating the fading Snowhawks, but can they keep up the tempo? Barton's rising star at QB has been delivering for the first 4 weeks, and I expect him to keep it up against a relatively porous Ducks defense. The tried and true duo of Prowling and Slice are consistently finding the endzone as well, and this game should come down to one stop and one stop only, and I'm going to back the Bruisers because Prowling has a penchant for finding ways to lose (*thinks about s10 -_-*).
------------
Punishers @ Huskies [Huskies 35 | Punishers 20]
An interesting matchup to say the least. On paper these teams are evenly matched, but when it comes to game time scenarios, few people can beat DC at finding ways to stay in games and then strike when the time is right. I think the Husky's will run away with this one.
-----------
Raptors @ Jackrabbits [Raptors 31 | Jackrabbits 28]
Following a 2-0 start the Jackrabbits have been on a partial decline (waffle is on warriors? like when did that happen) Anyway the Raptors have been consistent all season and I think they edge out a win against this Joston roster. I don't think Joston has ever recorded a franchise win against the Raptors, but I don't know for sure.
----------
Panthers @ Dragons [Panthers 56 | Dragons 14]
Not much to say here, VB favorites Panthers here to take on a newly formed Dragons team under Nighttrainn. I can only see this ending one way, but miracles do happen.
----------
Firecats @ Rattlers [Firecats 38 | Rattlers 28]
Iceking manages to keep games very close then lose them at the very end. One day his luck will manage to get him some wins, but today is not the day. The Firecats are making a resurgence under Fresh, and after a blowout win against the Spartans look to keep their momentum going.
----------
Snowhawks @ Bolts [Snowhawks 37 | Bolts 30]
None of that nonsense about not predicting my own game, here it is. I think the fading Snowhawks take this win, as its almost a do or die moment very early in the season. Whenever this group of players gets together the talk is of the VB, but after dropping 2 games in a row will they bounce back? I think they do but not in their 114-14 victory over Canton S11 fashion.

the level of effort i put in to these gets less every season |
