the little things that connect the helmet to the facemask on a football helmet are on the top
there are like 5 million examples for this but ill use the bills helmet because why not

when you look at that baseball helmet, all the connectors are on the sides.
this is a key feature of a baseball face mask because of how the helmet extends out beyond the average football helmet
