Hello OFL, as you guys know, I have been working on bringing back features that make OFL more fun and interesting such as Award Ceremonies and HOF Ceremonies. I have decided to propose another one of my ideas that might bring more fun to the league.
The idea is that we start the draft preparatory back up and leave OCFA as an optional developmental league for non draftees.
■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■
How it would work is:
• Any player not currently on an OFL team or in the OFL for that matter can come and showcase their skills
• There will be positional coaches training the players who want to participate for around 3 sessions. The top 10-15 players per position will be named by the positional coaches.
• These players will move onto the next round of the preparatory where they play in large practices and "prep scrimmages" among the other positional coaches.
• These coaches will then come together giving grades of each player from 40-99 overall and they will compile the list showing the best to worst rated players for each position
• A draft will then be held where there will be 3 rounds where each head coach is required to draft 3 rookies WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO CUT THEM.
■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■
The idea is that instead of a HC just being responsible for scheduling times for games and getting scrimmages for practice, they actually have to put forth effort in training and developing rookies. This would not only make new stars for the league (yes there are people who come out of this and end up being really good), but also make rookie of the year awards more interesting and overall make the OFL experience more memorable and enjoyable.
If you agree with this, have anything to add, or disprove of it, post your thoughts below! I want to hear all opinions.

OCFA has always been optional.
U can get on an OFL without going to OCFA
|

As long as there is enough prospects that would use this it would be good. If there's only going to be three active prospects, there's no point.

Haha OCFA buns anyway amirite |

Love the idea so much! It could bring a lot of fun back to OFL. Keep persevering to get it to happen, it would really be awesome! |
|
|
+1 (Idea): Possible make A Draft Group where an OFL team member can join and be a representative for their team's draft after being approved by leader of the group. |

this would work but the ocfa is a corrupt league where commissioners and hr's work together to do whats best for their teams. example firing a 5-0 hc that dwarf was gonna play that weekend for not knowing there was an alt on his team. not worth it. |

@casa ocfa has nothing to do with this. like i said the ocfa would have nothing to do with ofl after this is proposed

No offense to your idea but this will not make rookies become stars. Why? Because no elite coach is going to train them. Instead they'll be on the bench watching. Literally they get a couple scrims, but nothing that can replace game time experience. Requiring to draft 3 means 3 more spots on the bench. Nobody is investing in rookie talent in this league.
Only way rookies get real PT without being a friend of a coach is joining the team's with losing records. |
