Well, there is correlation, not just in the games played but, Look at all this censorship, Is it to keep the teenagers safe? NO IT IS NOT. Look at the restrictions, and look at all the adverts of roblox on kid friendly websites. Also look at how much it is frowned upon by older kids who are not geeks or nerds. I will take Stampy as an example again. Even though he does not say he targets younger children, he is clearly implying that.

And it said that younger players play more games, not more time. An older player could play a single game while a younger player plays many games.

I agree that they are showing it as a VI - VIII site, but it's not meant to be that way. Also, in that blog, the most popular genre was shooting games, which are targeted towards teens

This is where my main point is, The roblox community makes shooter games which is targeted towards teens, HOWEVER Roblox it self cannot agree with its community and instead tries to replace us with 6 yr olds.

What I find ironic is how we are arguing about the target audience, and not about the actual idea itself XD

Roblox needs to start agreeing with its devs who are the back bone of its success. If roblox thinks 6 yr olds can make better games than us then it is mistaken.

You're sort of right. They can't really decide their target audience. They make toys, but change the logo to make it more professional. They make the filter more restricting but remove body colors. Their updates have shown the target audience in different ways.

And they don't think the little kids can make games. They are only communicating with the adult developers.

The actual vision that David Baszucki actually had (correct me if I am mistaken) is to make a sandbox game where people can make games and exchange them. Now, that is totally different to what it is today. Today it is a website full of scams and spams and there is not game sharing, it is just toddlers playing kids that the roblox developers make.

Truthfully, I don't think ROBLOX even has a target audience. Their updates appeal to many different audiences.

It's not little kids either. There are definitely less kids than what you are saying. There are teens playing games too. It's a big variety of ages.

No, the updates is has nothing to do with the target audience, it is basically a number of ploys that roblox is trying to use to get people to play on it more and earn more money. It is losing its value and morality as a platform for making games.

The updates have something to do with their audience. They want them to appeal to their audience.

And I can boldly say there are more than double the amount of people who are under thirteen than there are over thirteen. I cannot use statistics as people lie about their age.

After arguing here with you, I have come to the conclusion that ROBLOX doesn't really have a target audience. They want it to be a certain audience, but their updates appeal to many different audiences.

If roblox had an age restriction like you tube so that there is a warning about who can play then it will be alot better. Children under 13 can still play like how Ethan gamer can still use youtube but there will be alot less and parents are more aware of the nature of roblox.

@Daily I dont see whats hard to understand of the concept:Websites targets communities who are the largest one to play that website And in the case of ROBLOX its the 13- community

Golden, I understand that. They try to target that community, but they don't. My point is that their updates target many different age groups.

The audiences they appeal to is different to their targeted audience. Like for example a super expensive shoe can appeal to everyone but it is targeted at the super rich. Or like how an apron is useable by anyone but it is targeted at cooks and cheifs and mums who do the cooking.

@Oggy EthanGamer is yet another example ROBLOX targets the 13- Community, like how old is ethan even..12?

The new logo might appeal to adults because it looks less childish. The ROBLOX toys may appeal to kids because they can play with them. It's the same concept as what you said. It can be used by anybody but is targeted towards a certain group.
