Since the MLB expanded to a 10 team Playoff in 2012, the average win total of the 2nd AL Wild Card team is 89.6 wins. To reach that total, Toronto would have to win 87.6 more games, as they currently sit at 2-10. Reaching that win total would require Toronto to play .584 ball from here on out. That's actually not so impossible. Since 2012, 8 AL teams have finished with a winning percentage of .584 or better. Tough to achieve, but completely doable. However, 2-3 more weeks of terrible baseball could pretty much do them in. Plus, they're beat up health-wise.

8/75 AL teams since 2012 have played .584 ball or better, which is approximately 10.6% of teams. Doable.
