1. No sport history
2. The market is terrible
3. Vegas is made for gambling and luxury, not watching sport teams lol.
4. Why expand when you can just relocate like 31 teams... |

I agree
I think there was a chance if it was the only team in the city for a while, but looking at the NFL that may not end up being the case |
31 teams is ugly as ####
Everyone knows this so there's either going to be a 32nd team later, or Arizona is folding completely |

Looking at how similar experiments in Phoenix and Atlanta have turned out, I don't think it will work |
There's an ECHL team in the Atlanta area that plays in the middle of a freaking suburb.
They always had a better attendance than the Las Vegas ECHL team when there was one. |
exactly
give a real hockey city like quebec or hartford a team
i'm too lazy to think of a siggy |
its not necessarily a huge mistake, they sold out season tickets already and the team isn't even announced. the only thing that worries me is all the gambling with 20 year old kids who make 5 million a year. |
The season tickets don't mean crap when it's obviously due to the novelty of being a new expansion team in a totally new market. In ##### ##### ##### be laughing at the lack of fan support and comparing it to Atlanta and Arizona. |
it does mean something, without even knowing what the team uniform or even roster looks like, people have invested long term into the team. |
The team name is terrible lol.
"Las Vegas Golden Knights"
Doesn't that sound bad lol |
Before the Raiders announced their relocation to Las Vegas, how I felt about the Golden Knights wasn't as sour as other people. But I have heard from ppl in Vegas that the Golden Knights haven't been hyping up their arrival while the Raiders have been plastering signs all over the city.

It means nothing, my local OHL team has decreased in fanbase after going over the season ticket reservation goal that was set for the team to relocate here.

the ohl doesn't even come close to the exposure level that the nhl gets. |

But my point still stands that Season Tickets won't help them in the long term.
If you actually think it will then you're delusional.

Atlanta and Phoenix sold out several games in their first season as an expansion team in the 90s.
One of them is gone and the other one is basically confirmed to be gone before 2020. |
i'm not saying that, but the two fully sold out years will give them time to at least develop a prospect pool and decent roster. not to mention if they select one of korpisalo or pickard, both goalies would be at a level where they could compete to be elite nhl goalies. |

Pickard from Colorado?
You're delusional if you think Colorado isn't going to protect him.

Korpisalo is absolutely horrible lol |
sakic publicly said he was protecting varlamov |

Protecting Varlamov makes no sense, he was injured so they probably would've kept him even if he wasn't protected.
lmao

im not saying it's a reasonable decision, but that's what sakic believes i guess. |

omGFDGW) ARIZONA IS NOT MPOVING STOP BRINGING IT UP |
also, korpisalo is 22 with a SV% of .915, that's far from sucking |

In all honesty they're probably going to go from Arizona Coyotes to Phoenix Coyotes |
