Miggy only won MVP because of the Triple crown. Batting average doesn't tell the whole story, and RBIs are completely useless to determine a players worth. If Josh Hamilton hit 45 HRs that year to have a higher total would you say that Miggy would win MVP???
Trout didnt get called up immediately in the season and still had a 10+ WAR season. |

Numbers dont tell you the whole story. Hes always been a much better player than the stats say.

trout clearly was the best player that year. not to mention miggies lackluster defense at third to even worsen his case...
also we live in the age of advanced metrics and baseball is the best sport to determine a players worth using statistics. |

You can't get an error if you aren't quick enough on your feet or have a long enough range to get to the ball.
A few years ago Donalds son was regarded as the best defensive 3B even though he led the AL in errors. |
