Kickoff - Delay of game can be called on kickoffs if the kicking team fails to kick it within 15 seconds of the whistle being blown. (Referees will give you a reasonable amount of time to get ready) If the ball is kicked before the whistle is blown the play will be redone All kickoffs take place on the 25 yard line If the balls does not touch the ground at any point and lands past the opposing team’s endzone, then it will be a penalty resulting in the receiving team getting the ball on their own 40 yard line A touchback is if the ball lands and rolls through the endzone. The ball is automatically placed on the 25 yard line All kickoffs must be kicked within the hashes Onside kicks - Each team can only have FOUR onside kick per game The onside kick must be past the 50 yard line If the ball is short of the 50, it is the receiving team’s ball where it lands Field goals - The ball must be after the 40 on the opposing team’s side of the field The ball must be snapped to the kicker and he must throw it between the uprights If the ball goes over the posts it is considered no good The kicker must stand completely still during the kick The kicker may not kick it outside of the hashes The kicker can line up anywhere inside the hashes but CANNOT move once the ball is snapped (Only exception is to jump or to slightly turn to the sides with mouselock) Play clock - Each team has a play clock of 25 seconds. Failure to snap it within the amount of time results in a 5 yard penalty and a redo of the down Play clock and game clock runs once the whistle is blown Game clock stops after the play is over, and starts again once blown UNLESS the following play was incomplete or a first down Snap - Center must snap the ball within 2 yds of the line of scrimmage. This means no x’ing the ball to the QB, or “bunging.” This also prevents from snapping the ball on the line of scrimmage. You can still snap the ball to the running back, but only if the running back is 2+ yds behind line of scrimmage If the ball lands on the offensive team’s side of the field, it is considered a live ball. If the defense picks it up it would then be considered a fumble recovered by the defense All snaps must be behind Line Of Scrimmage. Doing Forward passes is a -5 and redo of down. During the play - In order for a catch ONE FOOT must be inbounds. There is absolutely NO diving behind the line of scrimmage (Unless a turnover occurs) Penalties - - Delay of Game = -5 And redo of down - Offensive Dive in backfield = -5 and redo of down - Defensive Dive in backfield = +5 for offense and redo of down - Offsides = +5 for offense and redo of down - False start = -5 for offense and redo of down - Putting ball away = (Redo of down and -5 if ball hides in inventory) - Field goal behind 50 = Turnover - 9+ players on the field after the ball is snapped = -5/+5 and redo of down - Constant unsportsmanlike conduct = May be ejected from the game if approved by all referees Overtime - The first team to score is the team that will win. Otherwise if the opposing team kicks a field goal the other team has a chance to score. If the team does not do so, The team that kicked the field goal has won. MAX IS 8 MINIMUM IS 4
