Most of the friend requests I've been receiving are from bots. Mostly those "click me/don't click me/ReadMyDesc/ReadMyProfile" accounts. This is really annoying not only for me, but for fellow ROBLOX players. I propose a way to stop these scam accounts. Most people have suggested ReCaptcha, IP Banning, etc. but what I HAVEN'T seen many posts about is the idea of Email confirmation being required. Many of the major websites/games you see on the Internet make confirming your Email mandatory. Not only is this good so you can secure your account, but it's also good to clear out bots. By doing this, you have to type in your Email into an "Email" slot in the "Sign Up" page. After you have created an account, you'd have to go into your Email and verify your account setup. (And, you can only use the Email ONCE.) Why would this be useful, you may ask? Well, since you have to VERIFY an Email to set up your account, bots wouldn't be able to make an account. (unless they use their main Email: which would only work once- therefore being useless.) Without an Email, ROBLOX would not allow you to use your account. This would reduce the amount of bot accounts sending you friend requests or following you. Well, what about ALT accounts? Do you REALLY need an ALT account? If that's the case, maybe instead of only being able to use your Email once, you can use it twice. I guess this would be okay considering people need a second account for ALT's, Backups, and Group Holders. Couldn't the scam accounts just set up a fake Email? I guess, although it would be incredibly difficult to make MANY bot accounts. ---Addition for Above Proposal--- An additional way to keep the bot accounts away would be to only allow 1 account to be made per device. I understand this may allow more bot accounts to come in if they have a multiple devices, but do understand with this idea and the one above combined, it would be nearly impossible to create bot accounts. ---Conclusion--- In conclusion, I think ROBLOX should add the Email Confirmation Requirement idea to the website. This would make ROBLOX such a better place considering bot accounts wouldn't be able to be made as rapidly since they'd have to go into their Email and verify their account before being able to play. An additional proposal that could also help reduce the amount of bot accounts being made is to allow only one account to be made per device. ---TL;DR Message--- If this was too long for you I appologize, but this is pretty important so I suggest you read it anyways. The conclusion basically sums up the entire thing, although it doesn't include many details about the overall subject. ------- Thank you so much for taking time out to read this! I hope you agree with me, and feel free to support this & leave some constructive criticism. (Don't mind my grammar. I'm being rushed to write this right now!) Signed, Delightes:) 🏐

I feel like there's a downside to this, but it doesn't seem like it. So half support I guess.

smh, you can add fake email while botting Don’t waste your days on the negative energy of others, Remember that you’re not your salary, You’re not your house, you’re not your car And no matter how big your bank account is Your grave is six feet under just like everyone else’s

^ yes, you can add a fake email. did you not read this? you'd have to go into your email and verify your account on there. therefore, you cannot make a bot account as easily. READ MY POST AND THEN COMMENT, OKAY? ∂єℓιgнтєѕ

As in, the bot is using a current email, you can make multiple emails to hold them while bottin Don’t waste your days on the negative energy of others, Remember that you’re not your salary, You’re not your house, you’re not your car And no matter how big your bank account is Your grave is six feet under just like everyone else’s

it costs little to nothing to register a domain, set up catch all forwarding, and generate random emails that all end up in the same inbox if they can make bots, they can make fake emails

I agree that there should be email verification, but 1 acc should still be able to be accessed by multiple emails. What if someone loses an email or something?

1 account - multiple emails would be really helpful.
