1. I'm not joining, so yes, I did read the title. The title didn't say people couldn't post, it stated people couldn't join.
2. You should care. The english language is very important and your disrespect is incredibly rude to people who have dedicated their lives toward studying it. It's also just plain rude to authors and novelists.
3. Being used to it isn't an excuse. It takes longer to capitalize the first letter of each word than it does to write normally, plus refusing to change just because you're used to a different method just shows immaturity... |

It's not the same English. Capitalization is one of the identifiers of a full-stop. It's also used in names, titles, and places as to identify them as names rather than vernacular.
"Why... would you do that?" has completely different connotation than, "Why... Would you do that?"
One identifies a continuation of the subject. The other identifies a change in meaning. The former implies the individual is questioning why someone is doing something. The latter implies the individual is questioning, but then asking whether the other party is truly willing to do something.
When you capitalize the first letter of every word, these grammatical changes are undetectable and therefore mislead an individual into deriving an alternative meaning. |

You know, sometimes I think it would be fun if I pretended English wasn't my first language and always posted in broken sentences so when someone goes "No, you have to form your sentences like this!" I just respond with "sorry I don't speaking the English very well, it is fourth language!" or something to that effect.
They probably moved their roleplay to messages. Wise decision. |
