Scuzz got deleted and replaced with Flava on Freesat. I'm going to sort the channels by the genres they play. Pop (MTV Music, MTV Hits, Viva, VH1, Box Upfront, The Box, Box Hits, 4Music, Chart Show TV, Starz, Chart Show Hits, Capital) Rock (MTV Rocks, Scuzz, Kerrang) Rap (MTV Base, ##### Flava, Channel AKA) Dance (MTV Dance, Chart Show Dance, Clubland TV) Love Songs (The Vault, Bliss) Country (Keep It Country) (The only Country channel so far.) Reggae (Channel AKA) (As well as hip hop, They also have reggae, therefore they count as a reggae channel) Oldies/Melodic (MTV Classic, VH1 Classic, Magic, Vintage, Chilled, NOW Music, Heart) (I don't consider The Vault as an oldies channel because as well as 90s & 00s and a small amount of 80s they have 2008/2009/2010/2011/2012/2013/2014 pop too, They also have a high amount of teen-pop.) |
|
|
freeview only has these:
4Music
All the BBC music channels
Kerrang!
Heart
Smooth Radio
Classic FM
heat
Magic
K i s s
Capital
Absolute Radio
Premier Radio |

I checked the Flava schedule, In 7 days "no listings available" Flava is my favourite music channel for Hip Hop music, so they best not mess it up or (Even worse) (*shudder*) CEASE broadcasting like Bliss did, If they rebrand to a bigger and better rap channel, I'll be 99.9% OK with that (as they are still technically the same channel, just a different name) If they rebrand to a new and better music channel in general, I might ## ###### with that, it's been a while since we've had a new music channel for us with Sky, after all I hope my beloved Flava is OK, I am one of the world's biggest Flava fans, If not the biggest, it is my most watched music channel, my 2nd is Channel AKA, my 3rd is The Vault, my ### ## ### Base and my 5th is Viva. If Flava ceases broadcasting (like Bliss did a couple of years back), this is going to be my reaction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9W5GjEYKj8 (Skip to 0:15) |

Tags might make that hard to read, so yeah.

On the good side: If it goes, It might get rebranded to "Chartshow Raps" or "Chartshow Urban", which would be cool (like DanceNation TV changed their name to Chartshow Dance in 2013 and then in late 2016 to Chartshow Hits), and at least Channel AKA will still be here, either way :)
On the bad side: If Flava goes and DOESN'T get a replacement channel, CS will no longer have a Hip Hop channel (and I wouldn't be happy that it would be gone, in fact, lots of old skool hip hop fans might be disappointed too.) |

Bliss, Flaunt, The Amp and DanceNation TV are all gone (owned by same company), I don't want Flava to be next! |

Still says "no listings available..." from Thursday onwards, They haven't filled in that huge "no listings available spot" with Flava goodness yet and I can predict that they are getting rid of my favourite channel.

Search "Sky TV Guide listings", click on Friday or Saturday and check the schedule for Flava, there's still nothing there, They need to do something, quick! (Flava is Channel 374)
November 2nd 2017 at 6am: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNUWUH3gBA0
(Turning this into a thread about Music Channels in general, I would've done a new one, but we don't have any PC anymore.) |

I hope Flava stays on the air, (or at least rebrands into a new channel which I might like, the last new channel we got was Keep It Country in 2016) |
|

I remember seeing 36 crazyfists on scuzz once which amazed me because i never thought i would see them on TV |
|
|
You skip Queen.
Queen is the best British's Band.
With her Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, another hits. |

Well, It happened 25 days ago, Flava (a sky music channel) was taken off TV,
I have survived so long without it, and miss it terribly, so I'm writing another post about it and writing a follow up post.
I never thought Sony, a really popular company who are in control of the CSC Media Group, would take away one of their best channels. I have already made posts about the removal earlier (back when there were a few days left, and now there's no Flava on TV at all anymore.)
True, we still have Base, Channel AKA, and a channel beginning with K that hashtags don't like (Thanks a lot to the people who OD, You made this word get filtered!), but none of them have Twitter voting shows, Get Your Quiz On shows, In The Mixes (KI[filter]SS do have Shortee Blitz, but he isn't on often.) or Remember the Year shows yet.
Flava was the channel which got me into music channels, It was one of my favourite channels,
They didn't even do a warning that they would shut down (except for the "no listings available" in the Sky Guide, they just abruptly shut down.
The last song I heard on Flava was Number One Spot by Ludacris.
They had a variety of mixes from urban artists.
Chris Brown: In The Mix
Jennifer Lopez: In The Mix
Nicki Min aj: In The Mix
Pitbull: In The Mix
Rihanna: In The Mix
Sean Paul: In The Mix
Skepta: In The Mix
etc.
They should've moved the mixes over to Chart Show TV or Chart Show Hits, but no, they are gone because Flava is gone.
Sony/CSC decided to axe Flava, a channel with good viewership, yet they haven't axed CS Hits, The least watched channel on sky. (I don't have anything against this channel at all, it's okay)
Flava didn't even get a replacement channel, Bliss (owned by CSC) closed in November 2015, and still isn't back.
If I ran the CSC Media Group, I would do an excellent job of it. Not only would Flava still be a TV channel, they would also be the first Sky music channel to play underground hip hop music.
I would also bring DanceNation TV or Flaunt back and put one of them on 373 on the Sky EPG.
Also, I would possibly axe Chartshow Hits and replace it with Flava +1
(or even add Flava +1 as a seperate EPG slot, if I had the money.)
If CSC get rid of The Vault, two things will happen:
1: I will be even more upset,
2: They would only have 3 channels left, Chart Show TV, Chart Show Hits and Scuzz, Scuzz would be the only CSC channel that doesn't have a "Chart Show" name.
3: CSC will lose their good reputation.
I'm glad I still have The Vault at least because they have pop songs I don't hear on any other music channel. |
