LeBron, but only cause we've seen him play in his prime, Unless you're like 30+ and actually seen Jordan play.

Ok now let me disprove that. Kareem never accomplished anything(winning) without magic or oscar, the 2 best ##### guards of their eras as well as 2 top 10 players of all time. Yes he was an amazing scorer but he needed magic to take him over the top was not the best player in every one of his championships. He did have 3 things on mj. Longer career(only Duncan can match) , better shot blocker and rebounder as he should be due to his size and playing the center position in the 70s and 80s(####### ###### was 6'9", Kareem was listed at 7'1" but was even taller) . Mj was the best player on all of his championship runs, was athletically superior to Kareem and it's not even close, he was the best defensive guard ever, greater scorer than Kareem if you account points per game and just his overall ability to score in every single way, greatest driver of the basketball and finished around the rim, greatest hang time ever, that post fadeaway could easily match Kareem's skyhook's dominance, and most importantly man was super clutch. Retired for 2 years of his prime, came back for a three peat against great teams in the sonics and jazz. Highest PER by any player in history, literally the stat that matters most along with championships. And also Mj was the greatest post up guard. Ever. His footwork was unbelievable and it was insane at how many things he excelled at. There will never be another Mj.

Yes, also mj is the greatest competitor and by far the best one on one player ever. The 90s era was the toughest, and the one MJ shined the brightest. Made basketball what it is today. Ask magic, who's the greatest. Even after '92 magic was ready to admit Mj is the greatest.

Of course Kareem had help from Magic. Michael Jordan was taking first round exits to the Detroit Pistons and the Celtics. He didn't start seeing success until Rodman and Pippen came along, it wasn't him alone, no one player can carry a team to a ring. It's been proven over and over.

MJ was too overhyped and still is as being a god or something.
