[Official BBA S2 Handbook] [Table of Contents] [1] Staff [2] Teams [3] Game Information [4] Game Rules [A] - The league Chairman owns breaker basketball association and shall choose the commissioner and deputy commissioner and provide the necessary things for the league to operate. - The Commissioner is in charge of the operation of the league and new things must be run by him. - The Deputy Commissioner has all the same powers as the Commissioner but answers directly to the Commissioner. They are appointed as the Commissioner when the real Commissioner is absent. - Should the Commissioner resign their position, the deputy commissioner will be appointed the commissioner immediately unless the Chairman decides otherwise. - Should the Commissioner resign their position once the Assistant Commissioner becomes the Commissioner, the new commissioner shall select a member of the Board to become the new assistant commissioner unless one is chosen by the chairman. - The Board of Directors is responsible for carrying out the orders of the commissioners. In addition to their main roles such as ranking and hiring officiators, they shall assist in the referring themselves. Board members will be hired by the commissioner and deputy commissioner [B] - The Officiating Crew is responsible for refing games. They will use this rulebook. They are responsible for the entire game including it being exploited. They are chosen by the board of directors and answer to them. - Any staff who go inactive for over four days must notify the Commissioners before doing so. Failure to do this will result in immediate termination of their job. - Staff who wish to resign must contact the deputy commissioner before doing so. # - BBA will consist of ten teams, five in each conference. - Team owners are allowed to trade players. - Each team name will be chosen by the chairman. - Maximum roster limit is 15 - In order for a player to play a game, he must have been signed two hours prior to the game. - Minimum roster limit is 8-10, failure to sign eight players including an assistant head coach, not including the team owner, will result in termination of your ownership. - Team owners are required to attend at least three games a week to oversee as the head coach. - Players can only be signed for one season. - Players must play on the account that is in the group, for example, an alt for them to play in a game. Guests will not be allowed to play, nor free agents. - Team owners are responsible for their only custom jerseys if that is needed. A jersey GUI will be available with plain jerseys. - Each game will be played in eight quarters, with shot clock lasting 24 seconds - Minimum is 3v3 and maximum is 4v4 - If each team has more than three players, 4v4 is enforced. - Forfeit clock will last for ten minutes. In order for a team to claim an forfeit win, they must have three players present when the buzzer goes off signaling ten minutes is over. - If neither team has three or more players when the clock ends, the game will be postponed. - Each player on the court must wear the appropriate away and home jersey. Failure to do so will result in a jersey warning, then a technical. - Oversized hats, or gears, are not allowed. Pre-game workouts are not allowed 5 minutes before the game. - Games will start with a tip-off, whoever loses the tip will inbound the ball at the start of the second and third quarters. - More than one person tipping will result in a re-tip. - Each player must setup at the appropriate position and not move until the tip is completed. - Maximum shooting power is 80 - Backspacing layups is allowed - The in-bounder has five seconds to inbound the ball, failure to do so will result in a five-second violation, with a turnover. - The point-guard has 10 seconds to completely cross the halfcourt, if he is not across the halfcourt, then a ten-second violation will be called, and the ball will be given to the opposing team. - If a player that is past the halfcourt touches the halfcourt with the ball it will result in a backcourt violation, with a turnover. - Any player that receives five personal fouls or two technicals will be ejected. - Excessive miling will result in the player needing to be subbed out. - If a team commits four fouls, (press or player fouls), the opposing team will receive a bonus free throw. - Fouls reset at each half. (halftime and overtime) - Backspacing the ball to yourself is only allowed for inbounds, backspacing to yourself during the game will result in a turnover. - Reselecting the ball will result in a turnover. - Jumping over a players body to receive the ball, or riding a players head to receive the ball will result in an inbound and a reach call. - Boosting is a foul. Head-riding is not. - Cherry-picking is allowed. - After an player scores, if anyone gets the ball, then shoots it, or does anything to it but give it to the referee or inbounder, it will result in an immediate technical. - Hop-step is allowed only FOR SHOTS in the paint - If you try to dunk and does not hit the rim, it is a travel. - Any player who takes the ball away from the ref at any time. will receive a warning, then a technical. - During a free throw, each team must setup. - Failure to hit the rim during a free-throw will result in the opposing teams inbound.
