Alright, so, I just recently received OCFA Commissioner. I have an idea for the league, which is in no way official and I just want your guy's take on it.
-->REMOVE THE LEAGUE<--
Okay, it's not as harsh it is sounds. We would disband the OCFA, and instead create a "minor league" in the OFL where everyone plays, and there is 0 emphasis on winning.
Basically, every OFL team each week would be forced to assign at minimum 8 players to play for their DIVISIONAL minor league team. Every team in the division would be forced to send players to this DIVISIONAL team, giving them at minimum 40 player roster.
Assuming half the players are salty and don't show up, that gives you 20 total players showing up at the game. This gives them the opportunity to play in OFL games where most likely divisional coaches will pay attention since these players are on the roster.
It is the most reasonable way to develop rookies, bench players and prepare them for future roles in the league.
In the OCFA, OFL head coaches don't pay attention, but if the players were actually on their roster and just playing for the minor league divisional team, the team would be looking for their bench players to stand out and maybe to give them a chance in future games. This can also train experienced players into harder positions like quarterback.

Sure, we would keep score. But there would be no playoffs. 8 games for each regular season week, and MAYBE a championship game with top two teams. But rosters change every week.
Essentially, assistant coaches or head coaches from division would meet with the team like an hour before gametime, figure out positions, and they would just play and switch around positions.
This would give us 2 more games a week, where we can develop referees, players, and coaches. This would remove the OCFA completely.

DRAFT PROSPECT PREPATORY:
We would not get rid of the draft, we would work with TheSliceOfLife to do the draft prospect prepatory to draft these rookies and likely assign them to the minor league team each week until they're ready.

TESTING FUTURE OFL RULES:
Each week, we would test future OFL rules in this league. This would be a guinea pig league and give us an idea for what we can and can't do in the future.

slice already did better with his preparatory thing. i got 2 good rookies who have done something in games rather than drop passes and miss ints. so how bout we keep that and not over load every team with little kids and have them have 2 people rookies on each team have a good ofl exprience.
because you dont get good in another league u get good by watching what starters do and get exprience which is what i did and many others.
so get rid of ocfa and have people join the draft preparatory every off season.

I mean why remove OCFA, because if you do where are all of those players gonna go cause they cant come to ofl because they arent going to start so i suggest you keep ocfa. |

Thats a bad idea just send the people from ocfa to the development league cause No one that has been in ofl for a good amount of time wants to play down. it makes no sense and its a real bad idea slice had an idea like that but can u atlas send the pending reviews to the develepment league |

This is why I decided to step down: ignorance within the system will kill the OFL. I would be surprised if the OFL even lasts more than 6 months. Quote me on that. If I'm wrong, feel free to laugh at me. |

Let it be known, I had ideas to promote development, but nothing works when people in the OCFA itself doesn't understand and OFLers don't understand. God, I better stop before I start ranting. |

Removing the league, bad decision , you may not pay attention but people actually develop in the ocfa , also this isn't baseball to where you cant just have minor league teams. Not a good idea |

OCFA is a big flaw because coaches are hired to win instead to improve players, which means alt usage goes up more than OFL because nobody checks alts in that league until the draft.
What benefit does winning offer? Confidence?
You don't need confidence to get on a team you have to know what the heck to do on an OFL team without a coach having to take an hour to explain. |

seems like a good idea because ofl head coaches dont take the time to notice some of the good players but if they are in attendance and see them they might actually give them a shot, but you should wait till the end of the ocfa season to remove the league. |

and i agree with u wai, i didnt really care about developing and i just wanted to win to prove that i could coach in ofl that is why my overall hc record is 7-3 and up record is 12-4 in ocfa |
