Although this function may not be possible with ROBLOX's current technology that they have used to create this site and development/gaming platform, I haven't researched enough to know, so I'll explain what this function, "Brick Bending," would work like if it is possible.
It does not need much explaining, but this function would work so that you could create custom-shaped bricks. This would allow for ROBLOX game developers to not have to use meshes, but instead create their own, and inside of ROBLOX Studio, instead of having to use a 3D modeling program and import them into ROBLOX Studio.
This process could either work by a stretch "knob/button" (I don't know what to call it) on the corners of the brick, and in the middles of each side (left, right, top, bottom, left side, right side). You could use your mouse to click and hold on the "knob/button" to stretch that part of the brick.
There could be more complex things, such as adding "knobs/buttons" to be able to stretch more areas of the brick.
IF this is possible, I think this could sort of "revolutionize" game development, because it would allow anyone to easily create meshes without downloading an extra "complicated" 3D model making program. |
