A 'trianguIar pIane' instance that works just Iike how beams and traiIs currently work. Set attachment0, attachment1, and attachment2 as the 3 vertices of the triangIe, and a triangIe is drawn between the nodes simiIar to how trails and beams draw their polygons. With this you can make 3D geometry that has no physics to be caIcuIated, onIy rendered with Iittle cost compared to the same geometry made with bricks/unions/meshes. -For example, I have a 25x25 array of attachments which bob up and down in a sine wave like the ocean. Drawing triangles between these attachments will give the "ocean" a face with relatively little stress. #code print('Goodbye world')

This is a neat idea, but I'm not sure you would call it an instance since it isn't built in by roblox.

There are suggestions for Roblox to create an instance like a Part that is not affected by physics. This will reduce lag because it doesn't have to calculate collisions, movement, etc. Not exactly what you're proposing but kind of the same idea.
