Can you turn a model into a part?

What i mean is can you turn a model that has many parts into one part? Ive looked into C-Frame but that seems to only effect rotation and putting parts in parts, ive tried also gone into tools and whent down to "join selected bricks" but thats always grayed out. Is there a way to make a modal or multiple parts into one part? Please help and thanks in advance.

If your thinking of trying to rotate a model, than there is cetain model-rotate tools. Unfortunatly, most of them are a tad buggy and require you to use a c-frame edit after.
