@Osh
It's called soccer in the United States of America, doesn't really matter. What matters is that you know is a ball for one to kick. |

@iOsh
someone's upset they don't live in AMERICA |
|
|
no, it's called football. football in america is terrible. the MLS only attracts the oldies from around europe, mostly the BPL
lampard
defoe
henry
gerrard
dempsey
altidore
kaka
the way the MLS operates is terrible too. if you lived in england, germany, spain, france, or italy you would know what football is. |
|
|
Soccer is derived from Association Football, so it's a correct term |

Instead of totally ignoring the fact that the OP was a fan of the same sport, iOsh just bashes him for calling it "soccer" which is done by several countries.
Normally I would say more to berate him for this, but his name starts with "i" so you know he's one of those kids who think they're so right about everything that they're literally impossible to reason with. |

"first of all it's football, not soccer."
I will call it whatever the hell I want to call it and you can't prevent me from doing so.
If I want to call it soccer, I'll call it soccer.
This is my siggy. There are many like it, but this one is mine. |
|
|
i'm not stopping you from calling the sport what you want, but trust me, football is its real name. if you come over to england and call it soccer you'll get laughed at depending what part of the country you're from.
the germans called it fussball, which translates to football.
the dutch call it voetbal. voet means foot.
the french call it football.
the spanish and turkish call it futbol.

call me arrogant, but they're the only decent footballing countries (brazil and eastern europe not included)
although i respect your culture, it's called football.
|
|
|
tell me 5 decent homegrown players that any "soccer" teams have produced.
what does FIFA stand for?
answer those two questions before thinking of a comeback, please. |

In the 1860s, the higher class formed the name Soccer, out of Association Football. The use of Soccer for generations were used by the higher class and media. |
