Well, 'kids these days' are also becoming more fond of RP, the 'newbies', I mean. Many do not know of the 'Glory Days' [Though it seems everyone is hyping it up more than it really was. It wasn't so 'Glorious', but it was better.] and believe that the wasteland of RP is perfect how it is. So, they become highly offended when someone insults it. They also seem to think that the ones with more posts are also wiser. :I

But anyway, you guys have to stop thinking your threads are good. The format for your threads is like (Short Story) (Character Sheet) and thats it. |

For your information, I work over 15 minutes making stories, character sheets, even RULES for my RPs, and they are totally original! |

You realize that that was the format for threads when I joined right? Except said short story was usually 2-3 paragraphs.
Then again look at my old threads, wall of text with a weapons list that is 8 pages in word. Too complex. |

If they made their threads in any other format, they would die. That's why RP is the forum it is today. People became lazy and wouldn't join threads if they had a long or complex storyline/plot. So, the creators lowered their standards to please the posters. In a result, we have short, simple plots by the many. The only good, original RP's are left to die to the fact that everyone has become so used to the undetailed RP's that they become to lazy to try to put any energy into trying to understand a slighly more complicated plot. :/ |

Well I'm gonna try to get people to realize that they need to notice the more complex and better RPs then stupid Zombie Apocalypses and Boarding Schools with no plot whatsoever |

frankly I make threads with moderate length backstory and a considerable degree of plot with flexibility to allow for player instigated plot shifts.
I used to DM (still do on occasion) so it makes some sense. |
