Monday Night, QB Drew Brees threw a pass to Darren Sproles, a catch for about 12 yards. It became a TD. All Saints fans cheered. 2 players picked Brees up and held him to the sky! Everyone in the sidelines were jumping with joy! It wasn't a normal TD. Drew Brees made history yesterday night against the Falcons.
Winning about 45-16, the Saints were too happy. Drew Brees made a record of the most passing yards in 1 season (16 games.) The record was 5k something and it was made in 1984 by Former Dolphins QB, Dan Marino. Drew Brees is about 6 yards above. For years and years QBs tried to break the record. Failure. Failure. Oooh Failure. Success.
And the FALCONS? Lets just say at some point the coach started crying.
Saints have one last game, against Panthers. Easy win. Packers have a clinched first round bye, and Saints have clinched division and playoff berth. 49ers, they are playing Rams. Right now, 49ers (12-3) and Packers (14-1) have the first round bye. If Saints (12-3) win their game against Panthers, AND 49ers lose against Rams, then Saints have the First Round bye.
Packers will be playing Lions. They most likely will end the season 15-1, with a win over Lions. 49ers will most likely be 13-3, as with the Saints. |
