I will try to answer any questions you have. And please people, use proper grammar, and spellings. (At least try. One typo isn't going to be bad, but talking in like g33k sp33k is over doing it.) PS: Stay on topic! Meaning don't ask about scripting.

Tip! : There are different surface types, (for those who don't know.) such as smooth, glue, weld, stud, inlet, hinge, motor, and stepping motor. Here's a list of what each type does: Smooth--> Doesn't create a snap,or connection. Will stick to welded surfaces. Glue--> Creates a loose bond, will create a weak snap. Will stick to welded surfaces. Weld--> Creates a strong bond. Will stick to anything. Stud--> Creates a normal bond. Will stick to inlets, and welds. Inlet--> Must be used with studs or welds. Hinges--> Allows blocks connected to it to pivot around it. Motor--> Can be either scripted to work, or can be a continous motor. To get the motor to continously work, open its properties. Look for the side the motor is on. Look for its ParamB, and change that to 0.1 or more. Then change the action from "NoInput" to "Constant". More info later!

You can group things. No need to be in Builder's Club. Just select the bricks you want to be grouped together, and press CTRL+G. To Ungroup, press CTRL+U. WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO UNGROUP WORKSPACE! It will crash ROBLOX. DO. NOT. DO. IT. I found it out of curiousity XD

Just visit your place in Solo mode, or Edit mode. Then click Insert. Now there will be a little drop down menu. Click it. Look for something that says "My Models". Click it. Now, look for your model, and click it. Your model is now in your map.

So I'm a major newb. I want to make my model so bonded together that I can move it around easily and it won't fall apart no matter what bumps it. In particular, while in edit mode in Roblox Studio, can I move one piece of the model and have the entire model move with it, so I can center a piece where I want it and not have to rebuild the entire model because of moving a single piece?

If you want to know how to build really good, like you see Elite Builders of ROBLOXia build. I'd start off with learning the basics of studio. Watch YouTube videos such as "How to make a door on ROBLOX" stuff like that. Focus on learning about these three tools: Scale, Move, and Drag then you can slowly learn more and more such as op was taking about with welds and transparency, c-frame etc. once you know all that you can improve your detail and build whatever you want.
