Q: What devices are supported?
A:
Any iPhone from iPhone 4 and above (iPhone 4S, iPhone 5) running iOS 5+
Any iPad from iPad 2 and above (iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 4) running iOS 5+
Any iPod from iPod 5G and above running iOS 5+
Q: When is ROBLOX coming out for Android/XBox/PS3/webOS/Blackberry/Symbian/Windows RT/Windows Phone 7/Windows Phone 8/iPad 1/Kindle Fire/iPod 4G/iPhone 3G/Wii/PSP/etc.
A:
- An Android release is just about confirmed.
- As for iDevices under the supported device list, probably never. They're just not powerful enough.
- Windows Phone or RT? Maybe.
- Symbian, webOS and Blackberry make up less than 10% of the market so don't expect those soon or at all.
- XBox, PS3, and PSP all require expensive contracts with Microsoft and Sony and ROBLOX hasn't said anything about supporting these yet.
- Wii or WiiU? Likely not. They're not powerful enough.
- Kindle Fire runs a heavily modified version of Android, so that's a possibility.
Q: What games can I play on it?
A:
As of December 9th, 2012, the following games are supported:
- Natural Disaster Survival (http://www.roblox.com/Natural-Disaster-Survival-place?id=189707)
- Survive the 87 Disasters! (http://www.roblox.com/Survive-The-87-Disasters-place?id=18540115)
- Marble ride storm for ipad (http://www.roblox.com/Marble-ride-storm-for-ipad-place?id=20027175)
- Castle in the Sky (http://www.roblox.com/Castle-in-the-Sky-place?id=75647812)
- ROBLOX Battle BETA (http://www.roblox.com/ROBLOX-Battle-BETA-place?id=96623001)
- Block Town Featherweight Benchmark (http://www.roblox.com/Block-Town-Featherweight-Benchmark-place?id=99661177)
- Paintball LITE [Mobile] (http://www.roblox.com/Paintball-LITE-Mobile-place?id=3880410)
Q: Can I play with other people?
A:
You can play with other people regardless of their device - be it a Mac, PC, iPad, iPod, or iPhone.
Q: Can I chat?
A:
Chat keeps on being removed and readded. As of December 9, 2012, I can not chat on my iPhone 4.
Q: Is it laggy?
A:
On my iPhone 4, very. But I've heard other people say it is lag free on the iPad, so your results may vary.
Q: Which iOS do I have?
A:
Launch your Settings app, go to General, About, and then search for Version.
Q: How do I upgrade to iOS 5+?
A:
Launch your Settings app, go to General, Software Update, then press Download or Update.
Q: It doesn't show iOS 5!
A:
You can update to iOS 6.0.1 and it will work too. Remember, iOS 5+.
If it doesn't show either, you're probably already updated to iOS 6.0.1 or Apple has stopped supporting your device, in which case ROBLOX doesn't support it either.
Q: How do I play ROBLOX on my iDevice?
A:
Download the 'ROBLOX Mobile' app from the App Store. It should be by ROBLOX Corporation.
Once you've done that, log in and click on 'Games', then press on a game.
Q: How do I play games?
A:
Put your finger on the bottom left of the device and a circle will appear. You can use this to move. Dragging your finger around the screen also moves your camera. Pinching in and out controls zoom, and the button that looks like a robloxian with arrows pointing upwards makes you jump.
Q: Why are there only 7 games?
A:
Not every game is ready to be played on mobile devices. Those that require a keyboard, for example. You can expect the list to grow and the admins have confirmed that nearly every game will be playable eventually.
Put your other questions down below and I will try to answer them. I hope this answered the majority of them.

HOW IS THE WII U NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH O_O
|
|
|
Don't expect it to ever come to consoles. At least not soon, and the Wii U's hardware is awful. |
|
|
And finding a control scheme for gamepads will be awfully hard.

The WiiU IS powerful enough, but there not gonna spend time on it.
The gamepad controls would be similar to the iPad/iPhone/iPod
It will be coming to the iPod 4, iPhone 3GS soon, i'm guessing a different version although.

A quick correction:
"- Kindle Fire runs a heavily modified version of Android, so that's a possibility."
Because Kindle fire IS android at its core, there's no reason the normal android port shouldn't work. To my knowledge, the kindle fire only lets you get stuff from the amazon app store, which requires its own developer account. If roblox sets up their dev account for the amazon app store, it should work. |

|
does it run on android 4.0 tablets? im getting one soon |
|
|
|
@destroyer
It currently doesn't work on any Android devices, although support has been officially confirmed.
@pwned
Ah, thanks for the clarification. The reason I said this is because the Kindle Fire (I believe) uses the Android 2.3 kernel and so I thought that there might be some dependencies that exist on higher versions but not lower versions. I guess we'll have to find out.
I also took a look of the specs of the Kindle Fires, and I figure all versions should be able to be supported hardware wise because they meet the requirements.

Okay, here's one
I have an iPad 3, and I play ROBLOX on it sometimes.
The ROBLOX resolution for the iPad 3 seems a bit off. On the iPad 2, it's fine. I have restarted the iPad and it still does this. Is this normal or is it just a bug? Maybe it's just not optimized that much for iPad 3..? |
|
|
That's probably it. Taking a look at the specs on Apple's website, the main difference is that the iPad 3 not only has a higher resolution (2048x1536 vs. 1024x768) but it also has a Retina display.
While I don't myself own an iPad, I think that the problem is that the ROBLOX app isn't Retina ready yet. Apps like that do look distorted, especially if they were designed with a different resolution in mind.

Lol when I play it lags my iPad then it doesn't work properly for hours after that .-. Good advice though! |
|
|
You can try force quitting the app after playing. Double tap home, hold down the icon, press the red dash.
