Windows 8 Roblox Software does not work?

I can load roblox studio it wont let me click anything turned off my firewall and everything. Is there something wrong with my computer software? Do I need a different computer? laptop? Desktop? JUST HELP ME I NEEDTO EDIT MY PLACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happens to me is this: Once i click the ROBLOX Player on my desktop all it does it says: Getting the latest ROBLOX Please Wait.... Then it just goes away and does nothing. Please help! I just want to play Apoc Rising with my friends again );

Same thing happened to me only I went through a long process of uninstalling since it wouldn't let me uninstall normally and now when I try to launch the installer nothing happens. Roblox is really messed up somewhere and needs to get on it ASAP

ROBLOX has full Windows 8 support. I've been using ROBLOX on my Windows 8 machine since before Windows 8 came out (public beta) with no problems whatsoever. I even made it through the dreaded transition from Studio 2012 to Studio 2013 without a hitch, so there are no problems for me.

What I gathered from the original poster's problem was this: -He doesn't have Windows 8.1. -He doesn't know how to run a executable jar file from his browser after downloading it. -He has a problem, so he immediately blames his OS. -He spells 'tried' as "try'd". -He thinks 'thank you' is one word. -He thinks ROBLOX isn't compatible with Windows 8, which came out over half a year ago, because of one problem. -I am not sure if this guy deserves help.

mine is a dell windows 8 laptop and roblox is dowloaded and everything but when i try to play a game it says "An unexpected error has occurred and ROBLOX need to quit. We're sorry!"

I have a similar problem whenever I try to play it says an unexpected error has occurred roblox has crashed and I uninstall and reinstall but it doesn't work is it because I have a windows 8 laptop and I have searched and still those things don't work...... HELP ME PLEASE!
