@Donutlova
He is an alt of yours. The thematic naming is my biggest hunch. |

@Guest
Did you call me a jerk!? Watch your tongue, silly boy. |

@BuilderDanne
Donutlova's alt, guestdonutlova, added onto Donutlova's tirade, saying I am a jerk.
I am sorry if his flaming made you feel as if he flamed you. |

Builder is your alt |

nairbJoin Date: 2007-12-14 Post Count: 12396 |
@Donutlova
I don't name my alts "BuilderDanne", I usually go with a thematic naming based on my name.
Like "TheNairbAlt" or anything to do with numbers and being clearly stated as an alt. |
|
|
I dont even know how nair is. I only posted on this topic cause I found this idea as a good one. :/ |
|
|
I support this. This could reduce lags in game that still has some lags. |

The battle so far:
Supporters: 3
Team Donutlova: 1 (guestdonutlova is disqualified due to thematic naming) |

Things seem peaceful, for now. But I'm keeping up my vigilance in case more decide to cause drama. |

You're making it a competition, that is a bit jerkish, and your arrogant.
Nonetheless, I support. |

I'm sorry if I seem rude, it's just me holding my ground against Team Donutlova.
@Team Donutlova
5, up from 4. |

The battle is over, for now anyway.
Donutlova has turned down his mantle as leader of Team Donutlova due to him supporting RubicksCubix's thread. |

"well than support."-You, on RubicksCubix's thread. |

You had a good idea going on there, and i support it.
But more than 50% of your post is just this stupid FAQ, which pretty much is telling a bunch of people off.
I support the idea, but you are kind of being a real jerk.
Your replies to donutlova stating the odds of who supports you, and who supports him, is very rude, and proves that your being a jerk, which is donut originally said.
The forum is not for your little ego to take over, people can reply however they want, its not your forum, its the communities forum. your post isnt "your domain", its the communities.
Donut, this guy is being rather a jerk, i believe you are correct on that fact. |

I find it hilarious that you all think that you can just make scripts 'featherweight.' Learn to script, learn the ROBLOX engine, and try suggesting this again, with a general idea on how to make it. |

@Xelia4
You make a good point, but the main issue I am suffering from with the modern ROBLOX community is this:
I hold my ground because if I don't, I get walked all over.
I post an idea without the FAQ and the Complaints and Answers, and people will flame as they please.
But the community tends to mistake assertion with aggression, dictatorship or fascism. When I say "Don't post to flame", I am just informing the uninformed that flaming is bad. I state this so everyone can post peacefully.
That apparently is not the case here. People will flame, saying I am a jerk or I am arrogant or that I am a dictator. ROBLOX stated long ago that you are able to establish your rules for your thread, and such is the case here. Why is it that I am called out for abiding and stating what ROBLOX puts out as the law?
If you want to know where my grammar came from, it was because I wasn't able to hold my ground. I let people walk all over me.
Let me apologize to you like I did the rest of the forumers who called me out for asserting the Terms of Service for that particular situation packed in a nutshell.
@thedestroyer115
It's just a term. The name could change into something else. One thing's for certain, the ROBLOX engine is incapable of handling legions of scripts at a time or a script that calls forth a lot of power. I know of this because I tested this while playing my game. One such variable is "OnCharacterLoaded", that's the tools example.
@Xelia4
See? I am holding my ground because if I don't, the users may as well trash future hopes for future inventioneers and thinkers. If that happens, then Real Life might suffer without those people and their bright ideas, and that's just Suggestions and Ideas, not just the whole of ROBLOX. |
|
|
@nairb
ROBLOX is not the issue, computers are. |
|
nairbJoin Date: 2007-12-14 Post Count: 12396 |
@thedestroyer115
ROBLOX improved their engine with bricks so that users' computers did not suffer.
The same can be done with scripts, to the benefit of everyone. |
|
|
anything that makes my potato lag less is a must |
|
|
@nairb
You do not understand how ROBLOX works. You cannot simply make scripts run better, faster, or lighter. If they could do that they would be. Parts are different because they are data storage, and data storage will continuously be optimized to work more efficiently and quickly. |
|
nairbJoin Date: 2007-12-14 Post Count: 12396 |
@thedestroyer115
They did to a small extent when they removed Bytecode. Scripts are also stored as data, sure it is different from bricks, but they are still data that can be trimmed in the lag department.
To assume an elder ROBLOXian knows nothing about ROBLOX is a fallacy. |
