(Remember, your first post is your character paragraph. I know you already did it, but it makes it easier on me.) You yell for your friends, enraged that they left you. What asses. We were supposed to stay together. Trying to keep from falling over, you look at a nearby puddle and check your appearance.

Looking into the puddle, I see I that I'm a male, obviously. I can tell from my face I'm twenty-seven. My body was average sized. My hair was dark and unkept, just like my full beard. My eyes are a deep brown colour. Looking to the side of the puddle, I saw my mahogany walking cane that I always walked around with, due to the pain in my left leg. It had a hooked handle, and I held it in my right hand. I was wearing a dark coloured and slightly tattered waistcoat, along with dark cossacks. I look up from the puddle and continue walking, tapping my cane rhythmically.

You stare down at your cane, then at the puddle. Huh. It seems you are in the castle Courtyard. Directly to your left is a rotting wooden building that appears to be a Bakery. Directly ahead is the castle; but you can't see an opening. There is a cellar door nearby, but it looks impossible to open.

"Not very hungry right now," I say to myself, looking towards the bakery. "Doesn't look to be an opening in the castle. Cellar door has to be my best bet." I walk to the cellar door and attempt to pry it open with my cane.

You go to the cellar and try to pry it open, but it doesn't budge.

"The Hell is this cellar made of?" I question. I look over to the bakery. "That's my best bet," I say, walking towards the bakery.

You walk up to the bakery. The door does not open, but after a bit of effort, it literally collapses. It's dark inside. You notice that you forgot to turn the lantern on your belt on.

My eyes begin to dilate to adjust to the darkness without the use of a lantern, but I'm unable to see any specific details of my surroundings, greatly annoying me. I switch my lantern on and look around.

The bakery looks very old, almost rotting. The only think that looks normal is the Stone oven, which appears to be working nicely. You hear something outside. It sounds like rats squeaking.

To Hell with the rats. I continue looking around, attempting to find anything that could help me break through the cellar.

You find a few stones, but that's it. You see something inside the stove.

I peer into the stove.

You see something. It looks like a lever of some sort. Putting your lantern up to it, you see it is a severed, rotting human arm.

"Disgusting," I say. I use the hooked part of my cane to pull the arm out.

You pull it out. It is surrounded in red cloth. Appears to be the arm of a British Regular, or some such military.

I drop it on the ground and then leave the Bakery, since there was nothing useful in there.

You leave it inside, and walk out. Well, you could probably go around the castle to get inside, or you could look for something else, or you could try the cellar again.

I decide the only way to get into the castle is to go around. "I hate walking," I say, before reaching into my waistcoat and pulling out a small vial. The vial is filled with a mixture of opium and many other things. It was something I made to use as a painkiller. I drink from the vial and throw it on the ground, before walking around the castle.

You drink from it. That's better, You begin to walk the courtyard. You think you are going west. It takes a moment to render the Clanking.

I ignore the clanking and continue to walk.

You continue to walk. You finally see a large, wooden, double door. Above is the Family crest of the Bonhous. This must be the front door.

Thoughts race through my head. I quickly dart my eyes all along the door. I feel a sense of dread come over me, and my gut tells me not to go through here. "No. I'm not going through this way. I need to go through that cellar, this door is not the right way, it can't be." I start to walk back towards the cellar and I start smashing a hole into it with my cane.

You begin to walk back to the other side of the castle when you hear the Clanking again. It's coming from inside the castle.

#101307200Saturday, June 15, 2013 4:47 AM GMT

I ignore the clanking, and keep moving towards the cellar, prepared to smash it open. ((By the way, is this a "Hardcore" style RP where if I die, I can't restart?))

(No, you can restart. I'll set checkpoints around, in the shape of Chamber Pots, that you can use.) You walk up to the cellar, and hit your cane against it. You hear crying under the door.
