this is weird, when i built my place, i put a pilot tool in it, but when i visited it online, the pilot tool was gone! what should i do to keep it in there?

Go to Edit mode (NOT Solo mode) and get your tool. If it asks to drop it into 3d view, say yes. Exit, and the next time, it will be there.

Doesn't matter. Go into EDIT MODE, open the TOOLBOX, find the PLANE TOOL, then put it in the STARTER PACK.
