In-game chat issues [Read]

I have 2 issues with the "new" GUI chat Roblox has implemented in most games (sometimes it reverts back to the old one, which is GOOD for me, and that's not good for a Roblox update). - I need to press Shift+7 to chat. I own a Spanish keyboard, and "/" is located there, when on an English keyboard it is shown where the Spanish keyboard's "-" is. Now, in the old Roblox chat bar I could press "-" on the Spanish keyboard and it would work, but now I can't, so I need to press Shift+7. Is there any way to change this, or is Roblox being optimized for English players only? - It makes my Roblox game GUI flash, including the cursor, player list, etc. and even the chat bar itself. I know this is the issue because currently some games luckily load with the old chat bar, and it doesn't flash then. I have asked others about this issue and nobody seems to have it. I HAVE REINSTALLED and it does NOT work. I need some answers, fast. Help me please? Thank you for reading.

Could be a little bug with your keyboard order the type. I'm sure ROBLOX is trying to fix many problems so maybe they are working on it. Here to help.

I had the same problem. I know shift lock the mouse. I can chat by doing alt+é (or /). It's probably "-" on your keyboard. You should try it.

@1magik5 I have tried with "-" but it doesn't work. It did with the previous chat bar. Now I need to press Shift+7 to get to "/" and be able to chat (I can also click, but I'm more used to the button...). I also have mouse-lock on, so you can imagine how annoying this is for me. I hope this issue is fixed. All I want is to at least be able to press "-" again!

it's definitely not optimized for english players, I have an english keyboard and my apostrophes and colons and semicolons and a whole bunch of stuff near the parentheses/brackets are all messed up and switched around, and i can't even use apostrophe in game..

I have a problem with the chat that as well...the chat ### is gone and I ###### at the ######## and nothings there to help!! maybe I will close down ROBLOX then open it back up #######

Bump. My : and ' are switched. It is annoying. It also applies to a lot of other keyboard keys too, but only in Roblox.

I always chat with / (Shift + 7), but in some games where its the new chat, I have to click and im used to pressing /.. It works to press - though... (Right next to left shift)

Yeah my colon/semi-colon key is normal, but my quotation mark key puts out semi-colons and holding shift is just a blank spot.

I cannot chat at all :( cri everytiem. The bar at the top of the screen with the chat icon isent there. so idk what i can do. I think it has something to do with my computer because its on every account i have.

dude if you are in windows just go down on right and change the keyboard on spanish to english usa and you can usea - again i hope it works
