To be honest, technology is always advancing.
ROBLOX's forum technology has grown outdated, and this would be a solution for as long as it takes software to adapt to this change.
Nothing on the internet is safe from being tampered with, after all. |

That's because of these "Improvements" they are working on. They are concerned more into updating the game style instead of the protection. |

I understand that the creators of this site are planning out innovative ways to keep their playerbase hooked, but what use is all of this when there are multitude of security loopholes that could effectively leave all the work for null if left unchecked?
The staff need to BALANCE the factors, not work on one. |

Captcha's are awfull, what about one of those picture textbox human checkers instead?
I don't know how it's called exactly, but there are a number of pictures, each with a checkbox and a question like "Which pictures have a kitty", Some of the pictures feature a kitty and some don't, you need to select all pictures with a kitty in order to post.
It takes less time than a captcha and is less annoying, the pictures could be Roblox themed. |

The problem is that people with an illness that restricts their peripheal vision will struggle with them whereas a captcha has multiple options to bypass this. |

Than maybe another simple task instead of recognizing a picture, like solve a simple math question "how much is 54+2". Spambots can't answer, and forum posters' math skills might improve after a while ;) or "to prove that you are a human drag Telamon into the circle".
Or something like "the honeypot trap", hidden fields that forum posters don't see and screenreaders can skip, but spambots don't.
Or some sites use a little game like "win tic tac toe to continue".
Anything is better than those horrible Captcha's. |
