In the recent Dynamic Lighting update we builders got some new goodies to use... We got "PointLight", which lights up and area at the center of the part. We also got "SpotLight", which lights up a directional area in front of the part. But, we don't have anything that lights up the whole brick itself! For example if you want a part to glow, and it's a really long and thin part, using PointLight or SpotLight can look very awkward to say the least. So here's my suggestion: A light entity that makes the entirety of the part light up, making it "glow". This would be hugely beneficial to have if you were to make, say a Tron themed map. Think of the possibilities. Thanks for reading. All the best, filiptibell

I would support, but die to the way the dynamic lighting actually works, this wouldn't be very feasible. However, I do agree that it can look akward to have parts that only light up in the center. A solution to this could be to have the light stretch based on the dimensions of the part.

Why did I say "die"? Meant to say "due" We really need an edit button in these forums.

That would also be a good idea, AquaRaider. A part of me says "Why not both?", although my idea would be less useful if the PointLight (or SpotLight) sctretched out based on the dimensions of the brick. I would scream out of joy if any of these ideas got implemented though.

I make loads of 1x1x1 pieces and put them together to do this, but it would be a good idea =D

Lots of 1x1x1 parts makes for more lag and looks kinda ugly with the new outlines though :L

"Glowing" bricks would be nice to cover a whole stretch of space, like lava for instance.

Maybe roblox could just add a variable in the spot light and point light that makes the part "glow"
