Well, not really, Mephitical. That's not entirely true, Keyrut.

No support. It doesn't make much of a difference since any intelligent game maker wouldn't risk their popularity by using it. Check the "Top paid" section in the games page. You can see what types of games there are and how unpopular they are too.

I love Paid Access, and the potential it has to give builders a bigger stake in the ROBLOXian economy. ~Demetreous

Basically all you have to do is log off, go search for the game you wanted to go in, and enter it without pay.. ROBLOX really thought this through didn't they..

I.. don't support. The reason why is that this update allows NBC to receive donations, no matter how small.

Roblox promised that paid access would only be available for the really good places, so people wouldn't/couldn't get scammed. But look at the "top paid" game page it's all scams, copied places and even empty baseplates. Really good places on the "top paid" page are very rare. And instead of fixing that problem first, they brought up "top paid" as a section on the main game page. I'm not against P2P, and I realize that it's still new and needs some fixing. But they should fix the problems first before marketing the paid feature so much. How about instead of showing so much of the paid games on the main game page only show a few that are really worth the money, maybe on the right side above or below the BC only games. And moderate the paid games, moderators can visit the places for free and only after they notice it's a good place (and not a scam or copied) they allow to make it paid access. Say NO to OUTLINES group (free): http://www.roblox.com/Groups/group.aspx?gid=907315 Say NO to OUTLINES t-shirt (1 tix): http://www.roblox.com/Robloxians-Against-Outlines-Tee-shirt-2-item?id=122729599

I half-ly support this. Here is my opinion: First of all, I think it is ok to charge prices for games because it is a good idea, but only if not abused. Charging 75-150 ROBUX for the BEST scripted game in entire ROBLOX is probably worth it. Same goes with worse games in the same range (almost the best) for 50-100 ROBUX. In fact, another feature you can make is demos, so N.B.C players can play a restricted version of the same game with a bit less things to play around in, while the wealthier ones could buy the full version for 100 big ones (ROBUX). Also, games which are long term (take days to finish playing), like Wingz World V or any large RPG game are definitely worth the money. But a mine cart ride that takes 10 minutes to complete for 250 ROBUX is not worth a try. However, what I disagree with is the ability to scam things, and overprice places so that you can make a simple sword fighting game with a tiny map and 1 weapon, and then charge 175 ROBUX to get in the game. I also have to say that despite charging ROBUX for paid access, you can earn more money from tickets conversion to ROBUX by making a hit place than a paid access game. However the counter effect to this is that a paid access game is more likely to be on the games page, yielding attention at a faster rate. This is due to the low amount of paid access games compared to thousands of the free games on ROBLOX, with a couple for those premium B.C kings and queens. And speaking of free games, that's what ROBLOX absolutely ruined. ROBLOX was (one of the ways) intended to be a game where you could freely play any game for free. Then they thought they could convince people to buy their premium features, so they tried to add the premium games I was talking about earlier (B.C only games=premium games). However, this failed slightly as it made some of those less wealthy people who are always rejected from the Builders Club angry, because it ruined the point of ROBLOX, and they couldn't play some of the games anymore. People offered NON-BC versions of their exclusive games, but it still didn't do much to solve the problem. However this was nothing compared to paid access. Paid access was considered as a nightmare to non-wealthy people (what I mean is that I don't have B.C, but I still have some ROBUX leftover from when my B.C last expired), since it makes scamming easier, and ROBLOX harder to enjoy, due to the lack of ROBLOXNESS, as the paid access aspect has decimated part of ROBLOX from being the way it should've been. This probably caused people to leave ROBLOX due to disappointing updates, but some of us go with the flow, are wealthy enough so it doesn't matter, or we just work our way past it. Just to recap, I personally think paid access is a good idea as long as it is not abused (overpricing, scamming, etc.), and it allows you to strike gold (front page) much easier, at the cost of less place visits (which earn more ROBUX from ticket conversion rather than upfront payment. We also talked about how ROBLOX should be free to play games and that it isn't, and how Builders Club affected the players of ROBLOX.

It's not fair how you find a epic game with a video and ratings to prove it but it has paid access due to it being beta/alpha and only people who can afford can play while other people can't until its fully released and the people who can't afford have to wait until they can play. For example: http://web.roblox.com/Interstellar-Prototype-5-7-LAG-REDUCED-place?id=159625450

Look how many great places there are with ratings to prove it in top paid now that still are in paid access or putted it back in paid access...

A simple remedy for if the game sucks is to add a revoke access feature which allows you to be refunded your money if it is falsely advertised. Player revokes access > Creator not allowed to spend until all revokes have been paid > Justice

@firemat2005 Read the desc: "The price is high because, this is only a prototype as we get further down the line of production the price will go down. Once the game becomes full release, it will be free." That and basically all of good paid access games only it because they're unfinished and want to create a hype without glitches ruining it all. Would you want a buggy unfinished game or it being inactive instead?
