I haven't seen one thread or post about being a fan of justin bieber in a long time. I've seen more dubstep threads and posts. Don't make an incorrect observation while you've only been here for a day. And dubstep isn't some supreme genre. As a whole it's not very good.

I've seen some stuff about beiber on here already a little of that goes a long way. Dubstep and its subgenres are newer than most musical genres, but give it a few years, and you'll start seeing more dubstep preps who act like they own the genre. hopefully we'll get some stuff on the radio as well. I'm living it up before then because: A: if you listen to the right stuff, it is awesome B: you get to yell at everyone who doesn't like it, which tends to happen when newer genres arise.

"I've come here to bash your music tastes, and force dubstep down your throats. we will probably not get along" Wel'll change you more than you change us. And a lot of us are quite fond of Electronic music. Maybe not specifically dubstep, but forms of electronic music.

I like how you act like dubstep is some unknown genre that receives no radio play (not like that matters now).

I've already seen some stuff about dubstep on here, so it's chill.

dubstep is a huge name in music and is still far from cutting off (sadly.)

#108277721Sunday, August 04, 2013 2:01 AM GMT

@Louis: I never said that, it's known as a name, but people hear about it and dismiss it. They don't really try it out. and, no, it hardly gets aired on any station. at least where I live.

"and, no, it hardly gets aired on any station. at least where I live." You mean under a rock?

Youtube (or the internet in general) is the new radio. And dubstep is popular there. There have been many popular Top 40 songs that have been dubstep or had some influence of some sort.

@Theta: same as louis it's known as a name, but people hear about it and dismiss it. They don't really try it out. I heard about it at first and though it was kinda nasty. I started listening to some, and got really into it I'm looking into producing my own with an Ableton 9 setup, a launchpad with plenty of bells and whistles, and a recording mic. just goes to show you never really know a genre til you test it

@Lob rude @Louis well when you said Radio, i thought you meant Radio. but okay
Thetawave
#108278068Sunday, August 04, 2013 2:03 AM GMT

"and, no, it hardly gets aired on any station. at least where I live." that doesn't really count towards much as dubstep is a scene that has been developing since the late 90s but eventually popularized around the late 2000s and early 2010s. regardless of the amount of radioplay it gets it is a huge genre appreciated by large amounts of people and it far from being vastly unheard of. it's got a huge audience.
