Today, for the first time, I listened to Green Day's album "American Idiot" all the way through, end to end, twice.
And all I can say is...wow. That album is so powerful, so bold, so confident. It's not the best music I've ever heard, but the power in those songs...it's incredible.
I especially loved "holiday" and "are we the waiting".
Anyone else have opinions on this album? I know it's probably one of their most successful albums, and some people will say it's "overrated", but any opinions?
If I know MTers, they always have opinions. |

Yeah ikr... I haven't heard a lot of their more recent stuff that I love. But "stray heart" on I think Dos has such a great beat and bass lie for me, being a bassist.
Still, American idiot is my favorite overall album so far. |

I know, it's such a strong album. All the way through. If you're not into the total guitar-slinging full sound, you can't make it through that album. The only break you get is part of "wake me up when. September ends" and "give me novicaine" |
