I was thinking, with the reputation I have in the clan world and all of the people I know, it'd be nice to form an incredibly skillful team of HRs one day. Each one representing true excellence in their chosen craft, whether it be design, leadership, command, propaganda, organization, etc...

I'm not saying a team like this should be formed this moment, or even within the next year, but it'd be, at the very least, fun to give it a try. With a goal to create a great clan, not the best, not a perfect clan, but a great clan. A strong and close community of well-trained and respectful soldiers.
Along with innovative technology, beautiful forts and facilities, and a fully played out theme. Many clans have themes or ideas, but more often than not, they are not delved into as much as they should be, and over time, most clans end up being very similar to one another.
Being able to people a unique clan experience with entertainment as the focus, that's something to shoot for.
Just post ideas, let's start a meaningful discussion. If you could create the perfect clan in your own mind, what would it be like, what goals would it have, what would it be capable of? If you were to select any person or persons to work with to build a clan like that, who would they be and why? If nothing else, this forum might serve a haven to those who can't stand some of the current C&G trends...

Very.
I'm focusing on creating a Survival 404 game. The game was open sourced, so I fixed the bugs and now I'm adding content and creating a map. So far, there's about 32 new buildings, nearly double the amount. The boats have been changed a bit, not much, and new boats will be added. (The Frigate is already added).
It's fun, just adding content. New walls, bridges, buildings, etc...

elephantJay - similarly, he has dedication. He might be a bit quiet at times, but he's sharp and someone I can trust.
Of course that's not all, but I don't want to spend all day on listing people. :)

I remember looking at that thread a year ago and thinking what a great idea it was.
Then the greatest Organizational Manager in clans gave up on it.
If anything like this ever happens, I would be glad to support it.

@Zippa, it's fine. If you're proud of it, then you might as well let others know, whether they care or not.
Everyone deserves the chance to let it out once in a while.
You don't need someone as revered as MeowMixxed to form a high command like this. You just need a leader with a vision and the means to reach it.

I think the main thing for an ideal clan would be self-sufficiency. If a clan relies on absolutely no one, then it will only advance in it's efforts. A self-sufficient clan would maintain the level of activity and skill it has, and the outside influences will only improve these things. Now, how to make the above happen is beyond me. |

APN ignored outside influences for a long time. It allowed it to become unique and form a great community, but it's potential has never been fully realized.
I don't fully agree that self-sufficiency is as important as you say, but it would be important for the clan to function very well on its own. Forming strong alliances helps improve the clan experience, though.
