Well, I'm starting to get into making shirts and pants, and I'm kind of annoyed by how little detail you can put into the templates. So, just as an idea, would it be possible to make double-resolution shirts and pants for TBC members (So it won't waste as much space)?

As if no-one notices this.

As in, it's basicaly a newer shirt-template which is at double the resolution of the original, and is "wraped" on the character similarly, as for more possible detail.

I still wont get it, and I even think we wont need it -.-

I can't explain it any simpler then that. If you couldn't understand what my point was in the first post, then, either look up junk on Wikipedia, or get out of the thread.

Alright, the current shirt templates are at a reolution of 585 x 559 pixels, which, up-close, doesn't allow for alot of detail. Now, if the Developers would make a similar template at a resolution of, let's say, 1170 x 1118 (Exactly double), then, it would allow the user to make it even MORE detailed, and still be placed on the same character.

wouldnt that mean it will a: cover our heads b: look puny

A: No. B: No. It has the texture sections (Represented by Yellow, Red, Blue, Green and Pink on the template) would be twice as big, yet placed on the same surface.

Good idea. I like to see higher resolution shirts/pants. Maybe an option to resize high resolution shirt textures to reduce lag. And what about high-resolution decals too? Decals are 256x256, i want 512x512 :P

There wouldn't be any lag from client-side shirts at all. The only potential problem is memory over-cache, which is already unlikely.

High-resolution is an example like one of those fire shirts that look like they have shadows?

#11118612Tuesday, July 14, 2009 6:39 PM GMT

No, it's not. That's 2D light manipulation, which is possible at any resolution. It just means it's a bigger shirt template being put on the same size of surface, resulting in better quality.

He is saying that the template is larger, and it has high quality, so you can make better looking shirts. Kinda not hard to understand you know. T_T

No. A lot of people only have a resolution of 1280 x 1024.

First off, did I say they HAD to use it? Second, even if it's above their screen resolution, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Third, well, I always have a third.
