I appear to be having an odd problem when visiting a place in that occurs when facing a direction that pretty much encompasses all (90%?) of the bricks in the game into my field of view. Granted most are obstructed by others in front of them, but they're still there. When doing this, my fps drops to about 1. Normally I'd dismiss this as just having a bad computer, but visiting the place in edit mode gives me a solid 45fps no matter what vantage point I have of the place. I'm just curious as to why exactly I can run 45fps in edit and only get 1fps in online mode (and if there's a way to 'fix' it). Again, it all depends on how many bricks are in my field of view. Facing the camera in certain directions (well, all but one really) lets me run at a decent (45) fps. If anyone else would like to see if they have a similar problem, it's the place down there. I assume I don't need to mention what direction to face since it'd probably be something you'd notice, but in any event, face your camera in the direction of the lake. http://www.roblox.com/--place?id=15947100

You're probably running Roblox on a super cheapo old pc, or you're using a cheap intel brand graphics card. You can't alter Intel's video memory that much or at all if it's that one, so the only solution is: Buy a new computer. Preferably a Windows 7/8 OS with i7 Core processor, NVIDA brand Graphics chip, and 6+GB RAM. You'll be able to have highest Frame rate on highest graphics with no problems. I have a decent laptop and I can easily do that.

I don't think it's a problem with my computer since I can run the place in edit mode at a stable (read: 30) fps. Unless W8 isn't running in on the GPU in online mode for whatever reason, but I don't think that's the problem.

It might be that in your Game Settings in Player, your quality is set to 10 instead of Auto-adjust. You can try changing that. This is in in-game menu that you can bring up with Esc.

Ah ha, the quality settings did indeed appear to be the problem. Now to find a happy trade-off between quality and fps.
