I find it a bit annoying when I join a game and can't have a conversation with my friends due to all the oder / noob spam. The entire conversation just consists of "123 for a ##" "Come to my house for a hot ##" "123 for a mom" "123 for a dad" 123 this, 123 that.
Or when i find a decent game to play with them, and all nice players who are tolerable. But then there's ONE person who always ends up pointlessly spamming nothing but punctuation's and letters.
Anyways though, down to the idea:
In general, there would be a button beside a player's username Labeled "Mute" or something of that nature, and when you click it, it disables you from seeing their chat.
I dunno, you guys let me know what you think. |

I support this idea. It can block a noob's post, and it would be useful in clearing chat text off the screen for videos and screenshots. Then you don't have to crop out half of the screenshot or video cause of some stupid chat post that gets in the way. |

Oh why not make a script where you can say *mute/playername* and it mutes the player from chatting for only you. untill if other people says it. |

Support, as long as it is relative to the person, not the server in general.
E.G. Player 1 mutes Player 2, Player 3 can still see Player 2 chat.

Supported. But there should also be a vote mute where if 55% of the server votes mute the player is muted and you can click allow comments from a person. Just another idea. |
