These are my thoughts about Syria
We should stay out. Practice Isolationism again, and stay out of the world's affairs. Other countries don't strike, because they're afraid that the US won't intervene to defend them. We should stay out of this. It's not our concern. We shouldn't hold Syria accountable for breaking a law of the Geneva Convention, if they didn't sign it, which means they are not required to abide that international agreement.
Syria shouldn't be our obligation. We're the Global Police, not the Global Babysitters. I do believe the use of chemicals weapons on a country's own citizens is unethical and inhumane, however, we're only getting involved because Obama, and Obama only, placed an ultimatum. Now we're obligated to get involved, because if we don't, people will think we make empty threats. If it weren't for the ultimatum, I would say that we should let Syria do things on their own.
Nobody helped the United States gain independence from a tyrannical government, and we don't want be THAT ONE NATION that starts world war III

Wether they signed at the Geneva Convention or not, around 180 countries did. It isn't right for dictators to slaughter their own people, an if you let them get away with it, who knows what they will do next.

I have to agree, if we do bomb Syria... what's the point? To send a message? Well knowing our track record with drones and bombs, we will end up killing innocent civilians. Another point of doing? To get rid of Bashar al-Assad? Well let's say we do get rid of him, even though Obama say's that isn't his interest, the Syrian rebels will just take over, and who are the Syrian rebels you ask? Well none other than al-Q@eda@, and having al-Q@eda@ in charge of Syria would lead to 10 times more human rights abuses and would just be inherently bad.
Yes, congress should pass a resolution condemning Syria, no we shouldn't attack.

It shouldn't be out problem but, Obama is furious of the death toll and the use of chemical weapons.
If that happened in Syria, they could could b thinking about the U.S, that's why Obama is pondering about the strike.
Either way, it's a lose lose situation.
