Let us say that I want to make a Massive RPG game with TONS of areas for people to travel around to. However, the obvious problem is that if you have 5,000 bricks per area, about 50,000 bricks (lets say for example sake that their are some moving parts within this 50,000), your place will lag.
[THE ACTUAL QUESTION] Is it possible for you to make it so that players can have TOTAL control over which areas (and parts) will stream in and out? As an example, in an RPG game, if I am in one area, then ALL other areas will stream out, if I wanted it to.
