I have been an avid builder on Roblox since late 2007, and I've been having serious problems with Roblox Studio 2013. Sure, it's cool and stuff, but underneath the 'coolness' are difficulties and problems that make it hard to use, certainly driving back more than a few users who wish to become builders. I have compiled a list of the most heinous bugs/problems/"umgitsafeaturegetitright" in Roblox Studio 2013, an explanation, and how to fix them to allow usability and happyness and a welcoming, customizeable workflow for all new builders. Here's the problems: 1. PROBLEM: The auto-adjust thing of the properties window will push the values off the screen. 1a. EXPLANATION: I have my properties window set to a specific width so that I have a usable amount of 3D view, Explorer, and Properties (at least, a reasonable amount of properties space BEFORE this infernal "feature"). The problem with the properties window is that it moves the dividing line so that every character of the key name is seen. E.G. BottomSurfaceInput will push the dividing line far to the right so that none of the properties can be seen, and even worse for AllowTeamChangeOnTouch, which pushes the values so far to the right that the dividing line can't even be seen in the properties window. 1b. SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM: re-enable moving the properties window divider to the user's liking AND MAKE IT SO THAT IT SAVES! If I know you guys you're going to try to muck up my experience while saying "oh well we gave u a movable slider like u asked but we made it so it resets every tiem" 2. PROBLEM: The BrickColor value is not editable unless the properties window is wide enough. 2a. EXPLANATION: I am not a man of many pixels, which means I cannot have the properties spell out "AllowTeamChangeOnTouch" and "Medium stone grey" at the same time. The little box on the right side of the BrickColor field is the only way to edit the BrickColor field. I cannot see the little box because my properties window is not wide enough, which frustrates me to no end because it makes roblox studio 2013 HARDER to use than roblox studio. 2b. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM: allow double-clicking on the field to access the BrickColor selection box 3. PROBLEM: adjusting window size is very laggy. 3a. EXPLANATION: when I want to adjust the window size of anything (for example, properties because it's a broken, slobbery mess) it takes forever because of lots and lots of lag, perhaps because the 3D view is trying to re-scale real-time. 3b. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM: create a ghost outline of the window that is being resized before actually applying it, just like Roblox Studio. 4. PROBLEM: click+dragging models do not re-orient the model so that the clicked brick is "on grid" 4a. EXPLANATION: when models are inserted into the workspace and they are lopsided, there are no tools in Roblox Studio 2013 to fix it, the model remains askew. 4b. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM: add click+dragging and re-orientation to Roblox Studio 2013, or add a keybinding to do so (e.g. press CTRL while click+dragging to orient the brick to the grid) 5. PROBLEM: uploading models with bricks off-grid (rotated) will make the model rotated when someone inserts it. 5a. EXPLANATION: if a model is created and it has rotated bricks in it, more often than not the rotated bricks will be moved so that they are "on grid" instead of how the model actually was in the original workspace. 5b. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM: when inserting a model/uploading a model, the original rotation matrix is kept, so that the model has the same orientation that it did when it was uploaded. I look forward to a swift resolution to each of these problems for an easy-to-use and intuitive Roblox Studio 2013. Sincerely, Spacek531

I FREAKIN MISSED NUMBER 4 FROM STUDIO 1 OMG!!!! thanks for pointing that out. the way to fix it is to copy and paste it after you insert it and you'll get it good. another way is to get a model tool mover in the models and grab a part that will be 90 degrees, and fixed.

@Spacek531, hey old buddy, I have some of the same problems just like you although I would also add in one more problem that needs to get fixed. C-frame gap glitch - It appears as a super tiny gap between parts that would be like .0000001 studs apart. Usually it happens when loading from file, moving, or cloning models in Studio. When you build the model in first place, there is no gap, but then when you do what I have listed, the gap appears. Solution? Not the sure how the Roblox devs are going to fix the so called "rounding" of the parts position, but they should find a way to keep the parts at its precise position between the parts and keep it connected at all times. On the more unfortunate side, that would mean rebuilding the entire model all over again from scratch. It sucks that way and it is very time consuming, but it fixes that problem in one way. As for your 4th problem about the good old "drag model by part to align by grid", the only temporary solution is to use Roblox Studio 1.0. For an alternate solution, let me quote this from a friend that told me and show that it works. "Helpful tip, If the tracks are off grid from the baseplate put this in the Command Bar game.Workspace.TestModel:MoveTo(Vector3.new()) and name the track piece TestModel" This code will be used in command bar in Studio 2013 and the model named "TestModel" will be realigned using this code. So then the model will be centered and repositioned at the coordinates (0,0,0). It won't affect centering all of the parts at the origin, is just move the model at the origin, so then you'll have to drag the model to any location you want to. The only warning about it is that if you copy or cut the model, it will go back to its offset potions.

I think idea 3 is just common sense really... Roblox should have this already...

I have noticed they put a thing in to help with your #4 issue, if you insert a model and it is rotated or tilted, insert the model again, WITHOUT deleting the first inserted model. If you insert two of the same model at the same time on top of each other, the top one will have the correct rotation (about 98% of the time). The only down side is that it will still be off-center in terms of studs.

I support this. I especially have Problem 5. I make C-Framed figures doing certain actions and this always happens. I get so many complaints about this.
